Good morning ~ Stay dry over there! Great news about the job front, I hope all goes well for you today! I knocked out last night around 8:30 after a glass of wine w/dinner and slept hard until 5am. It's been a long time since I've had only one glass of wine and I felt quite buzzed which surprised me. I don't drink very often these days, so I guess I'm more aware. I feel good, so no complaints. Today is day 2 of Probation Project Management. It ended up being fun yesterday so I'm looking forward to the rest. The presenter is a riot and the class is maybe >30 people (3 are co-workers) and I know a couple of them from other associations so it's fun. I found a cool walking park but between the cold and how dark it's not happening. I meet my weights 1x a week at home and my gym day is Friday. I'm doing alright.
QOTD - Not if I can help it. Christmas at my sister for example. She is not the best cook and the roast beef she made looked terrible. I took some, but I didn't eat it. I did taste my other sisters appetizer that I don't like when she put me on the spot and watched me, so maybe I do.
QOTD 2 - Not a question, but the advice I give to interviewees. In addition to answering the questions, be personable throughout. At the end when they ask you if you have any questions or comments - please say/ask something that shows them who you are. They will remember this and and you will stand out. Think fit, not perfection.
Accountability - a glass of wine. I had 3 bites of leafy salad at lunch yesterday that got stuck so that was all she wrote. I excused myself to make a 'phone call' and tossed the rest. I ate protein chips when I was feeling better.
B- coffee and protein pastry
L - catered
d - TBD
S- protein chips if needed
Have a great day!!

You are a good sister Amy! I have to say that people that do something like that "try this, no, try this, no, I'll watch you try this" bring out the stubborn toddler in me, even at age 51. She'd probably have to hold me down and force it into my mouth, lol.

I was hoping there would be a distraction so I could get out ooit but no such luck. Your comment had me totally picturing my sister holding me down, haha.

Mornin' All!
well this is day 2 that we're probably going to be stuck at home - which is fine - we need the break. It snowed for 24 hours straight - stopping sometime overnight. It's hard to tell how much we got because the plows came through so what's on the curb is certainly higher than what's further from the curb - but maybe 6" or so? If so, that's on the lower end of what they were predicting. Thankfully. Although if it's that heavy wet stuff (which I think it is), it's still going to be a PITA to shovel (luckily, DH does that - and he has a two-stage snowblower. Although they aren't as good when it's a heavy, wet snow..)
I really should spend some time today starting to tackle the basement family room since we'll probably be moving some of my mother-in-law's furniture down there. It's going to take some work to get that place ready. I could also spend some time reading the next book for my book discussion group. I'll probably do some of both
QOTD: I can't remember the last time I did this because like someone else said, most of my experiences with eating away from home are at potlucks or restaurants. Although if someone served me weird meat (and by that I mean organ meats or some meat that falls outside the common four or five (like ostrich or something)), I wouldn't eat it. I'm mostly vegetarian but do occasionally eat chicken and fish - but if someone gave me something like pork or beef, I'd eat it. But something weird - no.
QOTD1: "how do you think your past work experiences might prepare you for this position?" "Describe a difficult incident you had to work with and how you resolved it'. Oh - and think up a couple of questions for when they ask "do you have any questions for us?". That can sometimes be hard to answer on the spot unless something came up during the interview that you have a question about. I'd have one or two prepared ahead of time just in case.
B: plain skyr with cranberry sauce, coffee with half & half, small piece of rosemary einkorn bread (fresh out of the oven!) with butter (OMG this is so good - I'm going to really have to watch myself!!)
L: hopefully just a protein shake
AS: Ratio yogurt and raspberries
D: not sure. Maybe a veggie burger
have a great day, everyone!
Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
I knew the flood gate would bust open for you. You will find the right fit for you soon. At least you got a little break through the holidays and 2024 sounds like it's going to be a great year for you. You go!!
I am the most unmotivated WLS patient ever. I have no desire to exercise at all. Well, I did do 2 crazy 8 classes and don't mind that, but cardio just seems so boring. I remember the runner high I used to get. I also remember running in 26° because I loved it. How does that all stop!!! I am hoping it is just the cold of winter that is putting me in a slump. Maybe if I just plan 15 min on elliptical or treadmill to get into a routine. I have to get back at it if I want to run the 5K on the 4th of July. Tonight, it won't happen, but I am going out to dinner with my old trainer and my old work out partner. Hopefully there will be some motivation rubbing off from them.
QOTD: Nope. I'll try it and just say that is not palatable to me. My DB gets carried away and adds too much to simple recipes. Sometimes less is more. Now DH ate a raw Pumpkin pie one time my mother forgot to bake and served. We were dating for a year, and he was shy back then. (the glorious days of him being quiet) Halfway through I stopped him. I was like that can't be good just stop. LOL
QOTD II: I got nothing. But a good search on TikTok opened a big old rabbit whole to jump in.
Accountability: 1-piece Tete De Moines Cheese I got at Aldi
Accountability: Not bad and I did my Crazy 8 class.
TSS: 6 years 0-months 30-days 163.2 Lowest (129.4)
B: Coffee with SF coffee mate chocolate caramel creamer
MS: L&F Caramel Apple Pie Greek yogurt, blueberries, clementines.
CB: Coffee with SF coffee mate chocolate caramel creamer
L: kielbasa sauerkraut and pork snack select
D: Not sure were going out high end Italian. so no pasta but they always have great specials so i won't decide till I get there.
Exercise: Rest Day LOL
Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.
Have a great day my friends.
Brightest Blessings,
Chrissy

You gotta fake it till you make it.
Even 15 minutes on elliptical is better than nothing. Commit 15 minutes a day, oneck you have that under your belt increase it to 20. It's very easy to fall out of the habit of exercising, and very difficult to get back into. But you gotta ease into it. Just do it!
