What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Good morning!
Yesterday was long and a bit emotional. But, sticking with the positives, I got in a great walk, made mostly good food choices and drank only water. I had a truly joyous time with family and friends at dinner celebrating my Kelly. I took a moment and closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of laughter and everybody chatting and sharing. Came home with a happy heart.
We are doing a big deep clean of the house (by we, I mean mostly Rog). He wants the floors and all the throw rugs clean before the new robo vacuum/mopper goes into to play. Speaking of which, we are still waiting for. They keep pushing back a day and that would be ok, except someone has to sign for it. So we are taking turns leaving the house so one can be here to sign. Rog did complain after we waited until 10 pm on Wednesday per the shipper and we got a $50 refund, so I guess there is one positive. Today is supposed to be the day.
I've got the gym this morning for recumbent bike, treadmill and circuit training stations. Then I need to stop by Sprouts on the way home. After cleaning up I need to run to TJ's and Vons, because I did not do these things on Wednesday like I planned. I'm making birthday dinner and hosting the bday girl and husband overnight tomorrow and I want to put out a lavish, though somewhat on plan, meal. And again, that it it. Our calendar is weirdly bare this week and next.
QoTD: I'm nailing it with my intentions. But it's only been 4 full days. And I am having to speak sternly to my inner b&tch voice when she pops up. She just won't go silently away. I can tell that's going to be an ongoing effort. I did eat three onion rings and the entire patty of my burger. I was starving. But I ended up the day not too far from my calorie goal.
Foods today!
B: I think I'll try an egg/cottage cheese bake thingy I found online. Individual servings so it will be easy to make one for me and one for Rog
L: last of the Marry me chicken. Still no proposals
D: Homemade beef stew. Yay, that gives me something to take up time this afternoon.
Happy Friday. Peace Everybody!
I forgot pictures! From my walk yesterday, to hair choices around here to the gift I got from my brother!

Not yet! We were thinking of heading to Asheville, NC. I really wanted to see the Biltmore Estate and we missed it last year. But things keep cropping up on our calendar so we haven't been able to block out the 6-8 weeks we want to have to travel at a leisurely pace.
But I still have my map/sticky yellow from last year and I love everything that represents!

If I could Put in a plug for doing the biltmore over the holidays...their Christmas decorations are phenomenal. Also, I'll plug their wine too. I had a case shipped home when I was there!

I loooooove that sweatshirt!!!
What's wrong with eating a whole patty? I always eat my patty after I separate the poor thing from her bun.

Nothing wrong about it, but the patties have to be 6-8 ounces before they are cooked and I usually don't eat a whole one that big! I had no bread, but did I mention it had a slice of cheddar and bacon on it? I was starving. I was worried I wolfed it down too quickly and I was going to get stuck or feel ill, but nope!

I am glad your heart was filled by the laughter and time with loved ones on what must be such a difficult day. On your delivery situation, is it coming ups or fedex? You can have it redirected to an ups store or a fedex Kinkos to pick up there. I do it with packages when I?m traveling.
