I don't need a hearing aid, but wouldn't one be nice? Just turn it down, or off, when you've heard enough.

I never go to any type of grocery store the first few days of the month. EBT/SNAP monies are put on the cards for SS and state assistance in every state at the beginning of the month, so the grocery stores are always packed. I would expect Trader Joe's to be the same. Bummer you didn't get to really look around.

Happy New Year everyone. I've been on vacation getting things finished up for 2023 and planning what needs to be done in 2024. Just got back to work yesterday.

I'm waiting on a call from a medical weight loss center that my PCP referred me to a few weeks ago when I was in for an appointment with her for my sinuses. We got talking about how I've gained weight after my hysterectomy a year ago and how hard of a time I'm having getting it off. We will see what they have for to offer. I have started IF and walking on the treadmill again, but I feel like I need something to give me a push or something.

QOTD: Not normally, but I have scored a couple of really nice dresses for two different occasions over the years that fit perfectly.

Coffee with raw milk

B: 2 hard boiled eggs with a slice of bacon

L: Chicken broth with mushrooms, Bok choy, shrimp, and scallions

D: left over lamb leg and Brussel sprouts.

Have a great day!!

Good Morning Queen JB and Meneurs,

When You say new designs, I am thinking you are making cookie cutters. I am down the cookie cutter rabbit hole. I sent you a TikTok where they show the cutter and people imagine what it should be. Some are pretty creative some are very funny.

I got nothing going on today. My work hubs is picking up his computer today and he will be working from home till he is able to come back to the office. I was surprised when I mentioned that he had Covid to a manager and they said oh he just has the flu. I was like no he tested for Covid. My friends husband passed away last week from it. He says yeah people die of the flu too. I was confused and I don't understand people. What a strange time we live in.

QOTD: Always and often. Once a month I pop in and put together a full new outfit. Usually under 20bucks with pants shirt and jacket. People complement me so I must be doing something right.

Accountability: a few honey mustard pretzels and 2 club crackers with butter and peanut butter.

TSS: 6 years 0-months 23-days 163 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF coffee mate chocolate caramel creamer

MS: L&F Caramel apple pie Greek yogurt, and Tangerines

CB: Coffee with SF coffee mate chocolate caramel creamer

L: leftover pork shank, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots from Firebirds, 1/2 cup chill from Texas Roadhouse and snack select.

D: Roasted Pork loin and avocado.

Exercise: Dog walking.

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

I love the cookie cutter game. She holds it up and asks what it is. I usually can't figure it out.

Oh no, I didn't see that you sent me a TikTok! Going to look now. Grim and I play the "what the hell is this shape" cookie cutter game almost every day!

Yes, most of the time when I am designing a set of cookies I am also making the cookie cutters. It's a whole process!

That's so cool that you can find cute outfits at the thrift store. I would love to be a normal sized person and have options, haha. I think I could make a cute outfit :)

Good morning! Stellar day yesterday. I completed all my goals for the day and ended up with a total of 100 minutes of exercise. I did the recumbent bike, the treadmill and the circuit weight training machines at the gym. I worked on a watercolor card to send to my grand at camp next week (can you believe they encourage mail so the kids won't feel lonely? It's only five days and clearly they have never met my oldest. She can't wait to be there). I had an epic nap. My food was on point and my only beverages were lots of water and fake coffee. I was determined to see if I could hit 10K steps and ended up jogging in place through every commercial break for the last 1/2 hour of my day.

Today I am going back to the gym for treadmill/recumbent bike time and then aqua fit. In big news, we are getting a robot vacuum/mopper delivered today. Roger will get it all mapped out to the house and then fingers are crossed this will really help. Brown dog sheds like a whole puppy a week. We have all porcelain floors and very few rugs down right now, so based on reviews, our floors should be in great shape by this time next week. And Rog won't have to vacuum every other day. or scrub the floors, because those things are definitely not on my side of the chores list.

QoTD: Never before retirement. Now I've found more patience and I'll put music in my ears and go browse. I've found a few good things. It's sort of the same for me at TJ's when it's crazy. Music in my ears and I float around in my own little world with no where to hurry to. So the people who block off the entire cheese section or the like don't make me so crazy anymore. I sort of just stand there and watch them. Eventually they finish or notice and move over a bit.

Food today

B: scrambled eggs with a bit of cheese and the last of the ham

L: leftover porkchop and nacho cheese pop corners.

D: did not make the marry me chicken last night so that's happening tonight.

Peace everybody!

G'morning all!

Back in CA as of 1:00 am this morning. Great trip in Kauai and greater time with the kidlets. The trip started with a couple of hiccups, due to rain and the only bridge out of town being closed for high water, but eventually we all made it to destination. We had rainy days, sunny days and in between days. It was a perfect combo of beach days, exploring days, and relaxation. Pics on Friday.

On the flight back I planned my next 3 months food wise and exercise. My shoulder is still impinged, but enough with excuses and not working out. I am in week 7 post op. I'll stop by Target today and buy a 2 lb and a 5 lb dumbbell for my right arm. The weights I have at home are too heavy. I will start an exercise routine using lighter weights on my right arm but the rest of my body is capable of doing what I used to do. We went on a 3 miles hike with 1,000 elevation and I felt that I hadn't exercised in a while so enough is enough. I also didn't eat as clean as I would have liked during the holidays. It was mostly protein forward but there were a lot of sweet stuff too. Enough of that too.

Plan of action:

  1. 1,000 cals and 100+ grams of protein
  2. Water consumption around 80+ oz.
  3. Either a wog or a weight session every day
  4. No matter which, 10,000 steps need to be taken

QOTD: not on a regular basis. But sometimes I have a specific item in mind and I go on a hunt, most of the time unsuccessful. My son is the king of thrift shopping.

My meals yesterday:

  • Starbucks & barebells bar
  • Starbucks #2
  • Chicken of the Caesar salad + 2 hb eggs
  • Airline wheat tins with cheese spread, mixed pretzels, brownie crackers
  • Quest bar + epic chicken

Happy humpday!
