Good Morning Queen JB and Meneurs,

I am not really a crafter, so you just opened my eyes to what crafting and being organized means. DH and I go at it all the time because I hate clutter, but I am guessing in crafting no inventory no crafts. I'll try to cut him a break moving forward.

My long weekend was Mild. Funder and dinner out Friday. Mom duty Saturday. Sunday early dinner and Netflix. I did not make it to midnight. Yesterday was Walmart because I had no fruit and Aldi was closed. I made Pork and Sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and lima beans. I took my mom a to-go and I got all the Christmas stuff but back in the attic. I am ready to start the year. Kinda.

Work husband got the covid so I got that to do. Hopefully he will come and get his computer, so I do not have to do it all week.

QOTD: I have always stuck to Bariatric advantage. When I was at OH conference, I compared prices and ingredients, and they are all about the same. I am on a loyalty program, and it is auto ship and I get Cash rewards for future purchases.

Accountability: I ate all the bad things. Ice-cream, chips, dip, candy. I guess as in every year the diet starts today.

TSS: 6 years 0-months 12-days 163.8 Lowest (129.4)

B: Coffee with SF coffee mate chocolate caramel creamer

MS: L&F Boston Cream Pie Greek yogurt, and Tangerines

CB: Coffee with SF coffee mate chocolate caramel creamer

L: leftover spinach, grilled chicken, 1/2 cup chili and snack select.

D: meatloaf

Exercise: Dog walking.

Water and Vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. I also use MiraLAX and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great week my friends.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

Good morning! QJB, I sit in awe of your room. Are home is not large, and I have one cabinet in which I get to organize my stuff. Which helps with my If I am not using it, donate it mind set. No room for things that don't add to my happiness.

Yesterday was very successful with a walk, good, on plan foods and lots of water. I did lots of little chores around the house and played with my watercolors a bit. That is a brand new activity for me and I've been learning about colors and layering. I have about zero skill, but I am finding it to be a peaceful activity and it keeps my hand and mind busy so time flies by. Less time to think about food wants.

Today brings a workout at the gym and then I have to pop into like 4 stores to get one or two specific things. At least I have them mapped out in a direct route home from the gym so I just check them off and move on to the next one with the goal of arriving home in time for lunch.

QoTD #1 perfect timing. I'm out of B50 and don't want to go to my doc's to pick some up. May be time I start transitioning away from all Bariatric vitamins and go more generic

QoTD #2 I know I'm too late for today but I loved the pesto chicken topped with cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle salt/pepper/Italian seasoning, top with torn up burrata and drizzle with balsamic reduction. All from TJ's and the leftovers were wayyyyyy better the next day. I served that on top of a little orzo. I also love their Frenched pork chops. Last night I served their gorgonzola gnocchi topped with a pork chop. The flavor was great but I felt like the gnocchi was pretty dense. I'm always trying new stuff from there. I like the small packaging and low prices. I am careful to use a measuring cup when serving things like the gnocchi. In fact, last night's gnocchi said it contained 3 one cup servings when in fact the entire package was only 1 1/2 cups when cooked.

Foods today...

B: roasted chicken breast, cottage cheese and some seasoning. I am loving the everything but the elote lately

L: I took out a single portion of beef stew from the freezer, but the leftover porkchop might win out

D: Marry me chicken from NYT. A different preparation then I have seen in the past and this one has sundried tomatoes in it. And I love sun dried tomatoes.

Peace Everybody.

I love sun dried tomatoes, too. don't know why but I never buy them. I used to love to paint and watercolors were my fav. It's been decades now. It is very relaxing and creative - enjoy!

OMFG your craft room! SWOON! It looks absolutely amazing. You are so organized!

I know I am too late for your TJs trip. I was going to go yesterday but they were closed. I always get (in this order, this is the order of my store):

Mini Cucumbers, bagged salads
All the cheeses!
The shawarma thighs, the jalapeno chicken sausage, the smoked salmon (already cooked)
The palak paneer in the frozen section

My new year is off to an ambivalent start. The good: I solved Connections on the NYT app perfectly, I went to the gym before work. The bad: I was HACKED by some imbecile who tried to order the ugliest clothes and make an amazon order, now waiting for a new card to arrive.

B: Leftover two triangles of chicken quesadilla (see above, grocery was closed)
L: leftover rotisserie chicken salad
D: Ground turkey tacos

Have a stupendous day, everyone! 2024 is going to be a great year

I appreciate that the perfect connections somehow balances the hacking to make it an ambivalent versus angry day!

Wow QJB can you come to my house and get me organized? What a gorgeous room.

I had a scare from my Mom on Sunday. She usually goes to church and is back by 11. I started calling her at 1 and didn't get a answer. I finally got her at around 4. She ended up going to the ER with a UTI. So nothing to worry about but it did scare me for a while. She had her cell phone with her but didn't think to call me.

This was a long weekend. Horrible fireworks, shotguns, and handguns going off starting at about 9PM. The last volley of fireworks was at 4:22AM, it scared my cats so bad they jumped up off of the bed. So not much sleep all weekend.

I don't have any work. So far I'm 32 hours short on this paycheck, not good.

I need to go get my breakfast (Greek yogurt) and a fairlife sugar free mocha.

I started knitting a pair of socks, I've decided I will probably never use size 2 needles again, and I'm not enjoying the yarn splitting. Maybe I will find something else to work on. It's not like I have a shortage of yarn, I thought I might use some of my homespun yarn for a project. I need to work on something.

Have a great day everyone!

Your craft room is spectacular! So much storage, have you filled all of it up? I could only dream of something like that. No one has ever call me organized, chaos is my middle name, lol

QOTD 1: Centrum Silver, but currently using up Centrum fresh and fruity chewable, plus some Fusion stawberry chewables from my surgeon. I get a monthly B12 shot. My vitamin D is low so I have 50,000 tablets once a week from my PCP. I am not good about taking my vitamins. I need to be better this year.

QOTD 2: Trader Joe's is 3 miles from me, but I rarely go. I was underwhelmed by it. Fresh fruit was only so-so and most of the interesting looking frozen entrees were Indian cuisine which I am not a fan of. I like Fresh Market much better although it is more expensive. I do like stores that have different items than the standard at regular groceries. Since surgery, I have remained un-interested in food. I rarely get hungry and eating is more of a chore. This really helps with containing weight gain!

Not much planned for today other than getting some blood work, non fasting so I will go out later this afternoon. My hands and fingers are very painful today, I think it is the rheumatoid arthritis and not from my Sjogrens, both are autoimmune in nature. I took some prednisone and it really helps with the swelling and inflammation. It's only been a few hours and it's made quite the difference. I have to be very careful not to overdo the steroids as they are not good long term. Sigh.

Food. Breakfast was coffee and fresh fruit. Lunch will be a hot dog and a few fries. Dinner will be Salmon, sweet potatoes and either creamed spinach and salad. Left overs I will have for lunch tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
