Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

The high tea snack tier is adorable. I could wipe out that top tier for sure I love deviled eggs. I heard the calories consumed the week between Christmas and New Years really don't count so keep on snacking.

Do you believe I have another funeral tonight. Unexpected again. My old workout buddy's husband passed of Covid Pneumonia on Christmas day. He retired less than 6 months ago. I will be taking every vacation day and every chance I have to travel till I retire. I do not want to end up dead with money I have no one to leave it to. I can't believe how many funerals I attended this year.

Tomorrow, I signed up for my Saturday morning HITT class. I plan to be in much pain for the rest of the weekend. I got Mom duty and most likely make dinner for the fam on New Year's Day. Looking forward to another 4-day work week next week.

QOTD: Guy dies and goes to heaven. While waiting in line he knows he's done some bad crap in his day and was looking for a way in. He started talking to the guy behind him and found out it was Edgar Allen Poe. When he got to Saint Peter and he asked his name he blurted out that he was Edgar Allen Poe. The guy behind him said no that is me he is lying. Saint Peter Says well Edgar Allen Poe was a great poet so you need to give me a poem that has Timbuktu in it to prove who is who. Edgar is the first guy up and here is his poem:

I traveled across this great land with no destination in my plan. When I was done my trip was through, I ended up in Timbuktu.

Wow Saint Peter was impressed. Now the other guy poem.

Tim and I through the woods we went when we came upon 3 women in a tent. Since they were 3 and we were two. I bucked one and Tim Bucked Two.

Accountability: Jim, I had Pumpkin roll. I ate the end piece since it had less filling.

Good Morning. I am lagging today. This cold is just lingering on enough to make me tired, but not much else. Zero exercise again yesterday, though I did hit my stand and move goals because I was chasing Grands and keeping them entertained all day. I was 100% on food yesterday. I packed them snacks for the movie and a modified snack for Rog and I ate nothing at all. Even at lunch out, I ate about 1/3 of my burger and none of the bun. I did eat fries, but I had plenty of calories available for the 8-10 I ate.

Wonka was really pretty wonderful on the big screen and we all loved it. A very different telling, but I loved tying points together. Like Augustus and the police officer. I think it's worth money spent to see it on the big screen. We have the girls all day today and I have zero plans. I need to figure out something. Either a painting day or a trip to the park. Otherwise, they spend it all on screens and I try hard to not let that happen.

QoTD:

Q: What do you get if you play tug-of-war with ham?
A: Pulled Pork.

Menu today

B: the last of the low carb enchilada casserole I made last night with a fried egg

L: chicken and cheese

D: big dinner out (so I'm being extra careful all day) at a steak house as a thank you to a friend who did us a huge favor. Maybe scallops? Maybe just a side and a couple bites of Rog's steak?

Peace everybody!

I love organization so can't wait to see your new IKEA shelf. Your high tea is lovely. I could see you having a restaurant that serves high tea and attracting a lot of customers. I use Siri all the time on my Apple watch to set reminders.

QJB-did you make everything for the high tea with your mom? I know locally there are places we can go for high tea. I am not much of a tea drinker. In fact, it is currently on my no-no list. Not sure why maybe the caffeine. DD on the other hand loves tea. Every time we go by a shop that sells tea, she feels like she needs to buy more. I am also limited to 4 oz coffee! That is a big change from my 28 oz cold brew I use to drink. Yesterday, I did make myself a blended coffee. Interestingly enough milk is an isotonic fluid, whereas coffee is hypotonic. So, the milk makes it an ok drink for me.

I have to admit that I eat by the clock and not by hunger. Mainly because I don't get hungry very often. This way I get my calories in for the day. Perhaps using an alarm will assist with your eating regimen.

Happy news my PICC is out! and my stool sample came back negative with C-Diff. The CT Scan did show colitis, DH wants me to see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale for long-term management of my short bowel syndrome.

QOTD: A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: "Ugh, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen!" The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: "The driver just insulted me!" The man says: "You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I'll hold your monkey for you."
