Mornin' All!
we spent most of the day yesterday going through MIL's file cabinet and email looking for info we need for our meeting with the attorney next Tuesday. We also brought the refrigerated items that we want back home. Worked on her obit last night - I'm pushing Greg to get that posted by tonight. I don't think he realizes yet what a huge job this is going to be. He seems to get a bit perturbed when I mention yet something else we need to write down to do in case we forget. I took care of the financial part after my father died, and it was A LOT of work - and I didn't even have to deal with getting rid of stuff and clearing out a house or apartment.
the apt management said that of course we won't have to honor MIL's lease, given the cir****tances, but they do require a 60-day notice when someone dies (and we'll have to pay the rent for Jan and Feb). That is totally fine because when we went to the office yesterday, we told the manager (before she even told us the policy) that we'd pay the January rent for sure - and possibly February's, too, if we got to mid-January and realized we may not quite finish up by the end of the month. So at least we - and the management - were on the same page.
she has some beautiful clothes, but everything was a size S or XS. Like that would ever fit me - or most people I know. But I remembered my history professor friend who's pretty tiny. She's all excited and will come over to the apt next week to look through the clothes. Whatever she doesn't want will go to our humane society's resale shop since the proceeds go to the humane society. MIL would have liked that.
anyway, enough on that. This will be my life for at least the next month, so I'll try to minimize talking about it!
QOTD: I'll have to circle back on this one!
food - all she really had to snack on while we were there yesterday was a bag of trail mix, and I ate at least a cup of it. The calorie count on that blew me away. I'm going to have to take some healthier snacks over there since we'll be spending a lot of time over there in the near future, and she lives far enough away that I don't want to drive back and forth when I'm wanting something to eat.
B: coffee with half & half, skyr with cranberry sauce
MS: I'll have to figure out what to take to her apt that's yummy (so I'll eat that instead of trail mix!) - maybe I'll make some hummus?
L: ??
AS: ??
D: leftover lasagna or Indian lentil curry
have a great day, everyone!
My condolences to your family in the passing of your Mother in Law. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I missed that you posted previously about her death.

Good mornin y'all.just got home from getting bloodwork done. We'll see how my A1c is doing later.
Not a whole lot happening today. We have to run to Walmart for groceries. Those of you with Aldi or HEB are lucky dogs! We have basically two choices and the other one is more expensive.
My stomach is a bit upset today. I think it's the pain med. I haven't been able to take it yet this morning due to not eating. I can tell. lol. Grimm I feel ya on the grumpy. It's hard to shake.
QOTD:
food was a delights breakfast sandwich. The rest is unplanned...as usual.
