God morning ~ Organizing and getting things done is a great feeling. I hope you get your room all squared away today with everything in its new place! I had a super productive day yesterday. I was feeling good and even thought I got ahead, by the end of the day I was toast. I am pulling another super long day today as I absolutely have to get my projects done. Being short staffed, I have no one that can assist me and further I am called on to help them more than usual. The recruitments close this weekend. Then it's county snails pace for interviews, hiring, placement, training... And after all of that, prob 9 months-ish, I get to learn and do all new things from my boss. Otherwise, life is fab.

QOTD - We are seriously condiment heavy over here. I need options (we're the 6 mustards and multiple pickle jar people) and I'm always trying something new. Things get tossed quick if they are duds or unused for too long since condiment space is precious. I give it a full once over every week for outliers. I gave up on bottled salad dressings, they expire so fast and rarely get used anyway.

Accountability - good, added coffee w/whipped cream piled high and russell stover peanut butter cup last night. 191.0 today

B- coffee x 4

l - chicken, black beans, cheese and salsa

d- carne tacos

s- beef jerky

Good mornin Y'all!

Not a lot happening today. We'll have the kids until 4ish. We may go to the grocery store if they get picked up sooner.

A fellow chainmailler has introduced me to a new tool that I'll be getting for my birthday in February. It's to bend nails! I can't wait, I have so many ideas! It'll be for my own use and maybe for friends because there is a guy that does some who gets testy when others do nail bending. It'll be fun though!

I am feeling so very run down. I get fasting bloodwork tomorrow morning. Hoping my A1c has improved. I also have a lot to do tomorrow. I have a shipment of rings coming in today that'll keep me busy for a while. I am having carpel tunnel flares but the braces are helping though.

QOTD: let me tell you....sooooooooooooo many. I have a bunch of balsamic vinegars that I prefer to keep in there. Pomegranate molasses, SF sauces and my mom has a collection of jams and jelly. Not a lot of dressing but a few.

breakfast will be eggs when the kids wake up. I got my mom an instant pot cold brew coffee machine for Christmas. I guess really for both of us! I had a cup of decaf and just had a hot cup of caramel coffee. Not sure what the rest of the day will look like.

here is the haul I've made in about a week. 4 bracelets and a 19 inch chain of Byzantine weave in 20awg stainless.

Good Morning on this Friday-Eve. Productive days are good days. I hope you continue to take care of your knee and that the craft room continues to come together. I'm still working through projects this week and I have to start working on the ACA data gathering- sounds like fun right?

Good morning! Up and waiting for the grands to arrive. 36 hours of sheer joy, frustration, peace, chaos, cooking, cleaning, reading, giving password access and snuggles ahead. Soon they won't need me for these things, so I am soaking it all up.

I did terrible on exercise the last two days. I caught the family cold and it kept me down yesterday. But it's already on the way out of here and since I was the last one to get it, my fingers are crossed we are done with it. I feel like I ate more carbs then normal yesterday, but tracking wasn't too terrible. An additional 300 cals. But zero exercise two days in a row. And I don't see me getting any today with the girls. So, I'm setting my cap on Saturday and rolling with it until then.

I have a doctor's appointment at 8 am for my left knee and then I promised the girls a trip to Michael's. Following that we have Wonka tickets and then probably lunch out. When we get home from that there will probably be art projects based on the trip to Michael's. Both grands have debit cards that when they earn money, their folks transfer the cash to and I have the cards. We'll see what their little creative hearts are feeling like today. It's my goal in life to nurture any creative idea they might get. We've been working on water colors for the last few weeks.

QoTD: I am not as good at this as I should be. I am good at cleaning stuff out of the fridge with each week of grocery shopping, but don't check condiments. I'm sort of a does it pass the visual test (no cloudiness or fuzz?) the smell test and then if yes, I'll taste a tiny bit. If it's good, I use it. If not, I dump it and find a substitute for dinner that night.

Foods today

B: egg and bacon

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Friday Eve came quick this week. So glad you are accomplishing all that redecorating with very little pain. I very rarely reorganize anything in my life. I am not very good with change. I am jealous of those who are. I think I would have changed jobs a while ago if I was good at change. Now at my age I cannot see me going anywhere unless they kick me out. Truley who hires old ladies now a days.

QOTD: I am good with everything else in there, but condiments get me every time. I know last week I pulled something out and glad I checked because it was at least 6 years expired.

Accountability: I went to bed early not just because I was tired, but I did not want to snack.

LOL - I remember my first year out - I put myself to bed way more than once not because I was tired, but because I didn't want to eat any more. I think a lot of us can relate to that!

Good morning everybody!

Our cleaning lady came this morning, so Marilyn put all of the presents somewhere. It looks like the Grinch just assaulted Whoville. Where everything is I do not know.

It isn't something that I would have done when I had more runway left in my career, but taking the week before Christmas to go away has been fantastic. I already felt relaxed and rested before Christmas break even started. I think that it is going to be 17 days between work days, and I love it. Of course I have kept on email the whole time. Next year we have tentatively planned to go to the Australian Open in January, so we won't be doing a pre-Christmas break.

Today, I actually have five things written in my calendar. One work thing that I already did, a couple of errands, Crossfit and Happy Hour tonight. A shower wouldn't be a mistake either. Tomorrow morning we drive both boys to the airport and the holidays start to wind down.

We have tons of food in the house, including a bag of lamb. The kids will still want to hit their favorite spots before they leave, but I'm good.

QOTD: I have my basics, so they don't run out. Some of the more exotic stuff that the kids may use once while they are cooking can get old. But Marilyn doesn't let anything get crazy. we go through pickles so fast that it is incomprehensible that any could expire. More likely there is an interim pickle run between shopping trips.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Steak

Dinner: Meatloaf

Have a great day, all!
