There are so many medical professionals that will doubt your lived experience because they think something different. I hope you find someone good and don't have to go through so many. I have found good luck with Nurse Prwctioners if that's an option. They seem to listen much better

Good morning, everybody!

I signed up for the sprint triathlon. It's August 25th along the lakefront in Chicago. The distances are .47 miles swim, 22 km bicycle and 5k run. I am not sure what a goal time would be, but i'm thinking in the range of 90 minutes based on my 5K time. I ran a 5****rained, in 36 minutes and I know that I had been shooting for 30 minutes when I ran more. In any case, I am sure that there are online resources for training and goals.

I also need a bicycle. I have an old, mountain bike, but I don't think that it is up to the task. And swimming half a mile just to withdraw because of a flat tire would be depressing. On the other hand, I don't eat to drop thousands on something that i may only use once. Plus garage space. One of my neighbors repairs bicycles so I may talk to him for advice.

I will need to train for the swimming. We have an outdoor lap pool that opens on Memorial Day and i'm hoping that 2 months is enough to get to half a mile comfortably. In the lake is going to be much harder than in the pool though. I have an indoor bike that I can start on this weekend and can run outside when the weather improves. Also, I have no idea about how to efficiently go from one event to the other. I know that there is no time out to get changed. And I probably can't show up in a Vineyard Vines bathing suit.

Today, I have lifting in the morning and Crossfit later today. I may stop at Gordon Foods Service to get some Bai. And Orvis was closed yesterday, so I think that we are going to try and hit the sale today. We were supposed to go to dinner in Chicago with my niece tonight, but she came down with COVID-19. So we will go in the suburbs with just the family. We are going to a Greek place so hopefully something relatively clean to eat, Like Chicken Souvlaki. I have to do one thing for work, but tomorrow.

QOTD: No, we don't have the outside one. Since our house is 100 years old, our kitchen is kind of small.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Lamb

Dinner: Chicken

Have a great day, all!

In addition to yours being old, mountain bikes tend to be slower than road bikes. For one thing, they're heavier. Since you're not planning on using it much, you may be able to pick one up on Craig's List for or Facebook Marketplace for a reasonable price. That's what I did when I decided a few years ago that I wanted to try biking again. I didn't want to spend $1000+ on a new bike if I ended up not using it much. So I picked up a used Trek on Craig's List for $300. It was originally a $1500 bike. It was 10 years old, but unlike cars, that doesn't really matter as long as the person maintains them regularly and replaces parts as needed (as this woman did). A lot of hardcore cyclists replace their bikes every few years (to get the latest and greatest), so you can sometimes get a really great bike at a decent price. Your bike repair neighbor may even know of someone who's planning to upgrade and therefore willing to sell their old bike...

Have you looked for a coaching app like couch to 5K but for mini triathalons? I googled and saw one called trinewbie but didn't look further than that, I'm sure there are others

Good morning gang. I had to postpone PT so I can be here for the fridge delivery. But that's the only thing going on today. I was trying to figure out how old this fridge was. It might be 15 years old, but I'm not sure. It came from Sears, so . . .

QOTD: I go through tons of ice. I don't drink hot liquids at all, but I love my ice. I can't imagine using ice cube trays. That's caveman stuff.

Good morning all and Happy Wednesday,

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for hotels in Saint Louis for dates surrounding January 12? My best friend's son is getting Bar Mitzvahed 1/13 8am and I have decided to go since it is really meaningful for Aaron. I'm flexible on dates and length but need to be there January 12-13. Where do you normally find the best prices? Do you know of any hotel brand promotions? AirBNB tips?

I had a rough PT session yesterday and it increased my current groin pain. I'll take it easy today and see how I feel tomorrow.

QOTD- I do not have an external ice maker. Ice makers are wonderful and I miss having one. However, my ice cube trays work fine.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Chicken salad and carrots

D: Lamb Chops, salad, home fries.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.
