Good morning! I resemble that meme! Accountability for yesterday, meh. I did excellent of food, but I never left my house and was rarely out of my reading chair. But I am happy I made solid decisions for meals.

Today I am going to put the deposit on the room for our last foundation event. That's the start of lots of organizing and work, but we'll split it up between the board members and it will be fun to plan a party. Then Costco, then the grocery store and finally a much needed appointment to get a facial. Rog will bring the rig home while I'm at my appt and we will get started loading it for a weekend in the desert. Lot's of layers of clothes will be needed, though the temp range for this weekend is 53-76 degrees with clear sunny skies.

Roger's Inspire implant surgery has been cancelled. They decided on Monday that his BMI was 1.9 points too high. Even though at the first appointment the doc said he'd qualify up to 35 BMI and he has been at 33.9 the whole time. Needs to be at 32. So we have another appointment with the doc on next Wednesday to come up with a plan and look at options. Come Monday, lets just say there is going to be a lot of chicken and broccoli here for dinner. He absolutely hates dietary restricting. Wants to live on steak and potatoes. It's going to be challenging to find things to make for meals that he can find any satisfaction in. I'm open to ideas, friends. He has already agreed to practice actual portion control. That will help. And his snack basket is getting a major makeover this weekend. So bummed for both him and me. He got signed up at my gym yesterday and will join me there and that will help. Also, I think it will help when he starts shedding serious weight and starts feeling so much better. I think he HAS to lose 15 to qualify, but he would really like to drop like 30-35 pounds.

QoTD: Uncut Gems by Adam Sandler. It was like an assault on my ears.

Todays bites

B: one egg, one 25 cal flour tortilla, a sprinkling of cheese, sliced tomato

L: unsure here, but if home, more deli turkey with a laughing cow wedge smashed in and mixed with scallions and tomatoes.

D: leftover beef stew. Maybe a small slice of toasted baguette.

Peace Everybody!

We hated that movie also. Both steak and potatoes are Whole 30 compliant.

Filet mignon is leanso so is the 96/4 ground beef from TJ's for beef. Rob is not a fan of ground turkey, but he really likes this. I'm having that tonight in my spaghetti sauce.

Good Morning queen JB and Menuers,

I would have been on that hard seltzer as well. When I ****tail waitress in my 20's and got off at 2am it was very difficult to go home and go to bed. There was an afterhours club for people that worked that shift. The bartenders never minded working in the morning hours because we all were restaurant people and knew the value of a tip.

I did get some cookie dough made but I did not bake any yet. It had to rest at least 30 minutes in the fridge and it was nearing 8:00 and I wanted to watch Survivor. I will bake them as soon as I get home and start my second cookie tonight. I am making the Caramel Snickerdoodle Bars this evening.

QOTD: I can't even tell you the last time I went to a movie. I go to about 1 a year and only if someone invites me I never just go to a movie. I do hope Wonka hit streaming quickly I am excited to see it.

Accountability: A little cream cheese frosting that I fill the carrot cookies with. I had to lick the bowl. I switched out dinner to be Turkey meatballs.

QJB- people are weird in general! I feel for you on the customer side of the cookie business. Dealing with people can be irritating.

Yesterday was a good day bowel wise. I am hoping for the same today since I am eating essentially the same thing. No new plans for the day.

QOTD: yes. I am trying to remember the last movie I walked out of. I agree the reviews are helpful in deciding if I want to go to a particular movie. I generally use the audience reviews over the professionals.

Have a great day.

G'morning all!

Presently sitting in the waiting area for my first iron infusion session. Supposed to get three of them, but the other two have to wait for after the holidays. I hope they let me crochet while sitting there, because I'm behind with two presents.

My house has become an obstacle course of sweets, Xmas cracks, gourmet towers arriving from clients, and my secret Santa present. BTW, the secret Santa knows me well and has gone for my heart, very hard to resist. My clients also know me well to know I give my right arm for those chocolate covered Bing cherries by Harry and David. Tell me how a bariatric person is supposed to live like this. My Xmas crack is something I make to give to my hair dresser, my esthetician, my trainer, and now my PT person, along with a bottle of wine. But of course some tasting is involved and the cal counts up. But 'tis the season and we will roll with it.

QOTD: can't remember ever walking out of a movie. But I'm known to discard a movie at home after 10-15 minutes if it hasn't captured my attention.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Tuna, hb egg, quest chips
  • Xmas crack, choc covered cherries
  • Turkey breast
  • E: 5 mikes walk

Happy almost Fri-yay!

I make Christmas crack every year too! I'm waiting until the last minute, so I'm not tempted as much, but of course i will have some.
