What's on your Thursday Menu?
Mirza ghasemi - yum. I'm not a big eggplant person either but somehow those dips are so yum.
People are always surprised when I tell them persian cuisine is my favorite.
That bread, feta and mint is a typical summer midafternoon snack, oooh the memories.

Mornin y'all! QJB, black coffee always makes me sad. Don't be to hard on yourself, each and every one of us is a work in progress.
Since it seems that my pain management clinic is unable or unwilling to use a damn phone I played message tag. The last one asked me to drop off a copy of the myelogram I had to the pain management doc. Why she couldn't see it like the neurosurgeon I haven't got a clue(hey...kind of like them!). So now I wait for maybe something else. Maybe not. I left a message very early yesterday while they were still closed that I wanted to make an appointment. In one of the messages I sent I told the neurosurgeon's secretary or whoever it is that can't use a phone that the pain management doc seems to be unwilling to help. I'm not hopeful. I did contact the other place LISTED ON MY MEDICAID PAGE that said they accepted Medicaid and none of them take it. I told them that they should correct the information asap. I'm not hopeful about any of this ****
Trying really really hard to not let this crap ruin my Christmas stuff. I am more angry than sad and I!ve adopted Krampus as my spokesperson and an angry AI cat I created as my spokesanimal...yes I know that's not a thing. Not a mascot but the spokesanimal.
My mom has a diagnosis. premature atrial contractions, she starts a med for it Sunday and then goes in for three days in a row to get an EKG. The nurse said it can be pretty common but her case seems to be a little more worrisome from the amount it's doing this. We're going to work out a diet plan this weekend and after christmas(and pay days) we're going to follow it. She doesn't eat a lot of bad bad stuff but more bad than good for you things. We also need to start walking. I need to get my head outta my ass too. The weight is only making me feel worse in every possible way.
QOTD: I used to work in the theater here. I walked out on a many but the most recent I wanted to walk out on was the newer Star Wars trilogies first movie. It was just not my things. Not necessarily bad but it was just a rehash and remake of the original Star Wars trilogy. Also Urban Legends. Gawd that was awful. I had to clean up a little bit of vomit from someone who got to scared. I don't see how that is even possible with this movie.
eggs for breakfast and soup for dinner and lunch.
AI fun! Krampus, angry kitties and googly eyed chihuahuas.

AI is so fun and the angry Christmas kitties gave me a laugh :)
I feel your pain with pain management doctors' offices. I'm debating reporting mine to the state.
Despite my doctor telling me to see her immediately after my surgery via telehealth to restart my pain management, setting up an appt, confirming the appt, canceling the appt 15 minutes after the start time, the office told me that they don't do telehealth since Covid. I had done telehealth a couple weeks prior. Then they said that my insurance won't cover telehealth. So I called my insurance, we conference called the Dr's office, and they said the office just decided this week not to do telehealth. I then called the office manager and got the real reason. BCBS hasn't paid them for the previous telehealth visit. It turns out they coded the previous telehealth wrong. They refused to let me leave a message for the doctor since they claimed it counts as telehealth. They don't have MyChart. As a result, I went a week without pain medication just a few days after surgery. Unfortunately, there are many other instances in which this office is incompetent. I should only have a couple more months of pain medication so I'm sticking it out with this Doctor.

It really is insane what these places can get away with.

I am so glad the cookie classes are going so well. I still plan to visit someday and attend one. If you are no longer doing them I will try to talk you into a private lesson. I finally got my Secret Santa box to the post office yesterday. Mine came Saturday and was amazing.
Many years ago, before VCRs were invented, everybody went to the movies once a week. The big stars kept making movies and quality kept going down. We were at a Richard Burton movie. It was about two old guys taking care of there bedridden mother. It was terrible. We walked out when they started spilling her bedpan and puddles of pee everywhere. Ugh

Oh boy you were lucky--we went to the movies so rarely before the advent of the VCR.
I am currently exploring options for getting my cookies classes online, so maybe if you can't come join me, that will be an option some day!
