What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning everyone. We had about 5 inches of rain overnight. As I type this a tv crew is on its way to Plymouth, and have promised to see if Plymouth Rock is under water. The news couldn't possibly be more compelling.
QOTD: In my he'll, they would play Queen's "We Are the Champions" on a loop. I'm certain, because it's already happened. When I was a teenager, every single radio station played that song every single hour of every single day.

Good morning, everybody!
Apparently, if you bought QJB candles for Secret Santa, you are not done with your holiday shopping.
We had a great weekend. Crossfit on Friday night and Saturday morning, and then into Chicago for our adventure:
First of all, we got a free train ride. I think that it was holiday related and pre-announced because I was the only one who put a pass in the seat holder. After awhile, I figured something was up and put the pass back into my wallet. Our mixology class was at 2:00 and we got into Chicago at 12:05, so we went to the new Guinness brewery top check it out.
I had the best beef stew at Guinness - a hill of Mashed potatoes in the middle, carrots, parsnips, and beef surrounding it. I will post a picture on Friday morning, because we don't board until noon.
Then we were on to the mixology. It was at a restaurant called Porkchop, although the restaurant was closed and there was no food.
Let me tell you, this Hollow Leg Mixology woman was a maelstrom of shouted obscenities, karate kicks, touching, overly loud and fast talking and chemistry. She also had an extensive theory of how different types of poorly made drinks correspond with different types of F@&boys. Not sure that I really understood that line of reasoning. Not sure why that turned into a hyperlink either.
But she brought about a dozen tinctures that she had made from her garden: vanilla, lavender, cardamon, cloves. And by the end we made some decent tasting drinks.
Fortunately, we switched the mayonnaise place for a local Italian called Mart Anthony. Matt - this is very good if you have not been. Although I suspect that you have. We did mostly appetizers: stuffed clams, calamari, artichokes and sausage and peppers. Also, I split some of Marilyn's Bolognese. With plenty of Cabernet and Barolo to wa**** down.
We ended the evening by Ubering home and then going out to get my youngest a burrito. He came home from college while we were out.
Yesterday was a haircut, Secret Santa shopping and football. And now its time to go back to work.
QOTD: Nope. this is exactly the "Don't think of Polar Bears" trick that is played on children. Or the ordeal by Stay Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. If I name one it will appear in my head.
Breakfast: Fritatta
Lunch: Catered
Dinner: Meatballs
Have a great day, all!
