I should have got tickets for Army-Navy. Hopefully the weather cooperates for your cousins.

I'm not a baker, but is a Nutella stuffed calzone a donut?

Do not EVER put donut and Nutella in the same sentence. Sacrilege.
Calzone is a pocket pastry. It can be savory or sweet.

I have only seen sweet with ricotta and chocolate chips. What is in a savory one?

I use the same shampoo for years. Last week I realized I had used it up and thrown the bottle away. I realized that while I was in the shower, so I used Softsoap hand soap instead. My hair turned out shiny and manageable. What happens with shampoo when you use the same one is that it builds up and sometimes you need something entirely different for a while. I will remember to switch off.

Once a month I use a Clarifying shampoo to remove all the Gel and hairspray.

Mornin' All!

film discussion group today over lunch, and a party tonight. I'll be making a grasshopper pie this afternoon to take to the party. It's one of those things I can either take or leave, so it's not too dangerous - and besides, I've taken this pie to parties at least twice before, and I've come home with an empty plate. Win, win. The film for today's discussion is "Emily" (2022). It was pretty good, but I was disappointed to read it was mostly fictitious (including her affair with the local minister). I read up on her (on Wikipedia) afterward. Not all that much known about her personal life, unfortunately. All those Brontes (except for the father) died so young - but then, that was the times. Thank god for medical advances we've had since then.

QOTD: I've used the Sally's Beauty Supply version of Biolage (the colorfast version) for a few years. It does the job. Although I picked up some travel size version of Tresemme (at least I think that's what it was) on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond when our local store was in the process of going out of business, and I took it with me to something or other (maybe the OH conference? Can't remember). It was also the colorfast version. My hair looked bigger and super fluffy. Not sure if it's a better shampoo, or if it was just the change that it (my hair) liked. I might pick some up when I'm through with this gigantic bottle of the Sally's knock off - but I'm wondering if my hair will just get used to the Tresemme, too. I could just buy a small bottle of it and see, since a bottle of shampoo lasts me forever.

today is going to be tough as far as food navigation goes. Here's a stab:

B: may just have some Ratio yogurt since today is going to be a challenge. Coffee with half & half for sure

MS: protein shake?

L: (we don't meet until 12:30, which means the food probably won't get there until around 1:00 - ugh (thus, the earlier protein shake). Will probably get the 1/2 sandwich (turkey and avocado sounds relatively safe) with a cup of minestrone

D: at the party. I'm just going to have to try not to gorge. Maybe just get a treat or two and fill the rest of my plate with fresh fruit and raw veggies. (I say this every time, but more often than not, I don't stick to it. But with so many eating events between now & Christmas, I REALLY need to stick to it tonight!!)

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning all and Happy Friday,

I'm excited that it's Friday and the weekend lies ahead. I have two doctors appointments this morning, as well as, a couple hours of work that needs to get done during biz hours this afternoon and then it's weekend wackiness ahead. I have a family Hanukkah party for lunch, and another holiday party at night. Sunday looks to be open during the afternoon.

QOTD-I use the same products until they're discontinued by manufacturer.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Rotisserie Chicken, avocado, cilantro, onion, salsa, hot sauce.

D: Chinese take out. Chicken w string beans.

Photo #1- Steak. I tried a reverse sear method Wednesday and was satisfied with the results.

Photo #2 - My nephew on the first night of Hanukkah sporting my present.

Photo #3 - My new Black Friday $188 55" TV, which was left on my sidewalk for anyone to steal. It may have lasted another 5 mins before it would've been ganked. My neighbor texted me and I ran home to bring it in.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.
