What's on your Tuesday Menu?
QOTD- If you like Sci Fi I would recommend Iain M Banks books. They will keep you busy for a while as they are pretty hefty books. He writes non Sci Fi under Iain Banks. For fun any of the Terry Pratchett books of Discworld, love the premise a flat world balanced on the backs of 4 elephants on top of a giant turtle, and all of the characters. For TV I just finished all the available episodes of The Crown, more coming next week. Still looking for something else to watch. I'm thinking of ditching Paramount + as they have increased the price to $10/month, and also ditching Disney + until something new comes out. If you are an NPR member I would recommend Annika, 2 seasons streaming on the PBS app. I also just found out about Kanopy if you have a library card you can watch movies with no commercials. I haven't tried this yet, too much football.
I'll cut my roommate some slack, he was at the ER Sunday night, and left after I went to bed. He pulled one of the stitches in his mouth.
Danish butter cookies happened, I really need to get these out of the house...not the small tin but the large one from Costco.
I need to get back to work.
Have a great day everyone!

Kelly and I would take those butter cookies off of your hands. I know your Ducks lost, but that was a good game Friday night.

I just sent you a screenshot of the info to your OH messages.
QJB-I did not get an email with my Secret Santa assignment. Boring can be good at times. It gives you a chance to regroup and recoup. I read a book recently that I really liked called the Many Daughters of Afong Moy by Jamie Ford. TV shows: The Mindy Project, The Wire, Succession, Guys Grocery Games, Fisk, Julia. I can't think of any compelling movies, maybe look back at older movies you haven't seen in a while like One Flew Over the Cocos Nest, Misery, etc.
Today I had an appointment with the infectious disease doc. Everything is looking good from her perspective. Will continue the IV antibiotics for a total of 3-4 weeks, CT scan after the abscess drain is removed. This afternoon is an appointment with the surgeon. I am hoping the abscess drain can be removed. I also have a g-tube that hasn't been used since I was in the hospital (the first time). I am going to ask if it can be removed. It would be nice to have less drains to manage. Otherwise just PT exercises and eating frequently.
Happy Taco Tuesday!
