What's on your Monday Menu?

I always schedule fasting appointments in the morning whenever possible because this girl cannot wait for coffee! OR food for that matter which is why IF didn't work for me.

Maybe I should have rescheduled when I saw it was fasting. But I've come this far, I can't stop now.

Morning gang. I got nuthin.
I apologize for the QOTD. I've been rewatching the Lord of the Rings movies, since I have lots of time on my hands. I try to do it while she is out of the house, and at night when she's in bed. I'm still in the recliner downstairs overnight.
QOTD: I cont think of a specific movie that I hate. I will no****ch any horror movie, at all. And there are a couple of "comedians" I don't find a tiny bit funny. But I can't think of specific titles for a hate list.

Some comedians are just disgusting, why?

The first time I watched LOR (DH is a big aficionado) I had to close my eyes when those guys were coming out of the mud/black tar. But having watched it so many times now I actually enjoy it. So don't give up on JB!

When I was growing up boys read Lord of the Rings. There was a section of the library for boys and one for girls and I never went to the boys side. Probably missed a lot of interesting reading. I never saw any of the movies, but will have to try one now and see if I like it. I do like fantasy and spend too much time on serious stuff.

Mornin' All
weekend turned out to be pretty good. I finished all I think I need to do as part of the dissolution of an organization I've been on the board of for the last 10 years. I'm sad the organization has died, but glad to have my part in its death behind me. There are a couple of things left to do, but they're the treasurers' responsibility (distribute our funds to other non-profits, close down our bank account, file some government forms). Whew. A huge load off my shoulders! DH and I also scored some free tickets to the UW women's hockey game yesterday. They lost, but it was still fun. We used to love going to those games but haven't been able to go to one yet this year. Not much going on today (other than class and going to some kind of luncheon with a friend - I think it involves a speaker), but things will pick up later this week.
IF isn't hard for me since I'm never hungry until late morning and rarely eat anything after dinner, but I've never been able to stick to it. I like eating something for breakfast (so...there's the habit factor). Plus I have some issues with low blood sugar, so there's always the chance of feeling dizzy if I go too long without something. But I would probably do it if it weren't for that. Missing that first meal of the day makes it much easier to stay within a calorie limit. It's worth a try, anyway...
QOTD: I honestly don't like a lot of popular movies, including most summer "blockbusters". I tend to drift toward foreign, indie, and documentary fare
coffee with half & half
plain skyr with cranberry sauce
protein shake (?)
the luncheon is at a Chinese restaurant, so I'm not sure. I usually get something like Governor's Tofu when I'm there, but sometimes with big luncheons restaurants have the group ordering off a very limited menu - like soup and a choice of three or four entrees. So....???
Ratio yogurt
"superfood" veggie slaw with Thai-style dressing, some kind of protein
have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ~ Thank you so much for doing the Secret Santa assignments!! Happy to here your classes went well. Enjoy your relaxing day. I had a great weekend but now, back to our regularly scheduled programming. I was so careful yesterday foodwise and stayed busy so I was shocked to get on the scale and see 197.1 this morning. WTF?! I was probably dehydrated when I got on the scale Sunday morning and saw 195. I had one ****tail and 'one' glass of wine that was topped off every 5 minutes - easily 2 or 3 there. Anyway, I am 100% on plan and the rest will work itself out on it's own. Busy day at work today. I realized that since moving into my unit area with my staff, I am probably too available and I'm not getting as much done. I need to find the sweet spot there, set some boundaries - close my door.... This is going to be a tough month for me - too much to do.
QOTD - The only movies I can think of are Life of Pi and No Country for Old men. I didn't get all the hype and was disappointed with both - equally.
Accountability - perfect. 197.1 ugh.
b- coffee x 4, beef jerky
l- chicken, spicy cauliflower, salsa and greek yogurt
d- triptip and cheese, low carb wrap in the air fryer

Have a great day!

I saw No Country for Old Men at the theater. That's a seriously scary movie.
