Good Monday Morning Gang!

I had a good and very busy weekend. I taught a bunch of classes, and they went really well :) Other than some clean up / organizing from class, today is the start of my weekend and I am ready for some relaxing, cookie decorating, and present wrapping. Bring it on.

I also need to finish up the Secret Santa assignments! Expect an email from me some time this morning :)

I mentioned on the Sat thread that my mom was deeply pressuring me to start intermittent fasting. Although I was very unhappy with her sales tactic, I concede that it's not a bad idea to learn more about it and try, so that's also on my list of things to do today. I have some books and recommended websites and I will try to make a plan. I think step one is to try to curb the little snacks.

QOTD: Is there a popular movie that you just don't like at all? I know I am in danger of losing any popularity I have when I admit this but I really dislike the Lord of the Rings movies.

Accountability: I can't be blamed for the fact that Grim's family just showed up on our doorstep with pizza on Saturday. Right? Also, the fancy barn where I taught yesterday had a hot cocoa bar set up with homemade marshmallows and homemade Kahlúa. I am not made of stone.

Good mornin y'all! the lord of the rings isn't for everyone while they are among my favorites they are not a "fun watch". 99% of the time I want something fun or informative. I haven'****ched LOtR movies in a few years.

Nothing much to report this morning. It was a decent weekend. I have an appointment with my peer support person today. We're going to an area bank branch to hear one of my nieces sing in her school choir before that appointment.

QOTD: a Christmas story(I think that's what it's called)...the one with the BB gun. I loathe it.

B: eggs, cheese, turkey sausage and coffee x2

L: salad

D: ????

I've been meaning to ask, and always forget -- how did you first get into chainmaille?

My grandma used to order kits for me to make her jewelry. It was usually just beading but then she wanted this bracelet that had a base made of chainmaille. I think it was around 2000 or so. Maybe 2001. It was a basic European 4 in 1(what most armor was made from...shirts and lots of other things.

it lite a fire for me. I liked the challenge of it and for someone who thought they were TERRIBLE at math I sure got into a very math heavy hobby.

here is a picture of the first piece. I you can barely see it through the crap ton of beads.

Thanks. I like that story. And it shows how a small thing can have a lifelong effect.

Sounds like a good productive couple of days and I hope your "weekend" is just as relaxing as some of us had this actual weekend. IF shouldn't be too hard for you given the number of days you go without eating!

I'm getting what I think will be all my December travel in during the first two weeks of the month; I have go do a bit early today because CLEAR is updating the biometrics to supposedly make it faster.

QOTD - there are plenty of movies that are not for me but I don't keep track of them.

menu today

coffee with half and half X3

cottage cheese with raisins, pistachios and cinnamon

tbd on dinner, meeting two colleagues but not sure where.

Have a wonderful Monday everyone!!

Good morning, everybody!

Trish was right, the weather warmed up late last week, and it was pretty temperate for the Reindeer Run. I think that it was about 42 degrees by the start of the race. My hands were a bit cold for most of the run, but by the end, I wanted to take off my headband (not that I ever would, it was holding my antlers together.)

I ended up running in 36:22, which was better than last year. I can't complain since I don't do any actual running to train for these, just whatever we do in Crossfit. I am thinking of doing a Sprint Triathlon in August, and if I do that, I will need a strategy for some sport specific training. And a bicycle that won't be laughed off of the course.

QJB, when I tried Intermittent Fasting I would eat during the beginning of my eating window and then dump. Christina said that can be an issue and that some people start with a broth, but I kind of felt like i have waited all these hours I want more than broth. Everybody is different though.

Other than the race, we had a good weekend of football and holiday house decorating. Marilyn got started on her LEGO Advent calendars and loves them.

Today, I have an ultrasound at 2:45, which is 8 hour of fasting, including no water. I am trying to eat a little in the next half an hour and more importantly drink some water. I tend towards dehydration as it is, and 8 hours withou****er is going to suck.

QOTD: Avatar.

No breakfast or Lunch and dinner is tBD

Have a great day, all!

I appreciate your color coordinated gloves. The antlers are spot on, too.

Good luck with the ultrasound.
