Good morning ~ Cute photo of you guys! I hope Grim is up and around soon. Enjoy your classes! These last few weeks have flown by in a blur. I forgot I had a dentist appt w/new dentist yesterday. I loved the office/dr and luckily I have no new issues, just an existing cracked tooth which will mean a new crown as soon as January. I can't believe it's December already! Tons to do today at work, off early, pedicure, TJ's and home to figure out what the hell I'm going to wear to Robs office Christmas dinner in LA tomorrow at The Ivy - I'm excited! We are heading out early to see his mom in RPV, then meeting at the restaurant. I wanted to stay overnight and his boss even offered her Santa Monica beach house - hello, but Rob turned it down and is hell bent on driving home afterwards. It must be about football, sucking out all the joy.

QOTD - For most things, yes I read, I need to know! I used to write clothing reviews so people would get a review of the sort I want to read like for sizing/fit. I want details not just read that you bought in every color. Lately, not much. I really should though.

Accountability - skipped breakfast and probably underestimated lunch cals for take out, but great. 194 today!

B- coffee x 4 do not want breakfast, I 've only eaten it 1 this week.

l - grilled nuggets, pickles and buffalo sauce

d - breakfast for dinner again - so good

s - beef jerky if I need

771/76

e- 30 minute yoga/stretch - done

v/w - on track/reminders for the win

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone. It's really nice to be home. The people at the hospital were great, but there's nothing like the comfort of home. QJB has been Super. Both surgeries we lucked out on timing, and she arrived just as they wheeled me out, which was perfect. And she had my mug with a cold beverage, a couple of ham and cheese sandwiches, and a Reese's pudding cup. Is she the best, or what?

This leg hurts a lot more than the other one did. Or maybe I'm just not remembering accurately. But I'm really glad I only have 2 knees, and don't need to do this again.

Accountability: I only weighed once in between surgeries, to see how much I gained. I avoided the scale otherwise. But I did weigh right before leaving the house both times, since I was following the rules on eating and drinking, and figured I'd never get better snapshots without variables. I actually lost 2 pounds over the 5 weeks, which was shocking. I've been eating out of a trough, and no****ching anything at all. Around Thanksgiving I ate almost an entire chocolate cream pie, two 13oz bags of chips, and 6 pounds of bacon. Literally. Ham most days, sausage most days. Tons of protein, around the clock, to try and help healing. And still lost. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

The other weird anomaly was in my labs from yesterday. My sodium was very low. Now, I salt everything. I ate all that bacon, ham, sausage, chips. I bring a salt shaker to the movies, because movie theater popcorn isn't salty enough. JB's mom has come close to slapping the salt shaker out of my hand. And my sodium is low. Go figure.

QOTD: I review books on Audible when I've finished them. But I don't think I've ever reviewed any product. I do read them before I buy, and find it very helpful. I've never written a Yelp review, and almost never read them. I do review other drivers on the road though, using traditional methods -- horn and hand gestures.

I hope my after surgery weigh in is the same. I am loading up on tons of protein for faster healing.
Happy to hear you are home and comfortable.

I've been eating out of a trough. LOL!!

I always lose a couple of lbs after surgery. Supposedly, your metabolism increases for about 2-3 weeks after a major surgery since it takes a lot of energy to heal. So that might be part of what's going on (??). Regardless, bask in it! Losing weight after a multi-day splurge is great!!!
