Yessss! Those kind. I got to try one in Costco back in July and it was just divine! I'd never get anything done if there was one in my house though. I can dream.

Mornin' All -

I have a couple of appts today, plus class at 11:00. It's freezing outside and it'll be windy, so I'm tempted to drive to campus - but then the bus stop nearest my building is really just as close as the nearest parking lot, so maybe it doesn't matter. Although bussing involves waiting around for the bus, too, so there's that. Boo. I'm tempted to just do online courses in the spring. Fall semester means about two weeks of unpredictable weather, whereas there are two MONTHS of unpredictable weather in the spring...ugh - hate this.

QOTD: well not in the usual sense. Some canned cat food from chewy (20% off) and some Christmas cards from World Market (also 20% off) (I usually get those after Christmas for 50% off, but then, they didn't have any cards left last year after Christmas, so I was out of luck (I send out about five Christmas cards these days - mostly to elderly relatives who aren't online - so a box will last me for several years. I have a box right now that still has some cards in it, but they've gotten the same card for like four years in a row. I'm embarrassed to send the same cards out again - so I'll put those away for a couple of years before taking them out again - in the mean time, they'll get a different card this year!). Oh - I also ordered a couple of Christopher Kimball cookbooks late last week - 10% off the already discounted price. I need another Christopher Kimball cookbook (or ANY cookbook, really) like I need a hole in my head, since I already have six of his books, but I love them - he's my current favorite cookbook author (I like to read cookbooks and don't actually cook from them very often, but I've made a few of his recipes and really liked them. They're easy, and he incorporates a lot of ethnic dishes and easy-to-find ethnic ingredients - which I love.

coffee with half & half

plain skyr with cranberry sauce

piece of buckwheat bread with butter

"superfood" slaw with chicken and Thai-style dressing

Ratio yogurt or a protein shake

braised spinach/chickpea/tomato dish (from a Christopher Kimball cookbook!)

whipped sweet potatoes if I can work it into my calorie range (probably only if I get some substantial exercise today - which will be at the gym or at home, since I'm not walking out in this cold!!)

have a great day, everyone!

Your decisions on your recreational class schedule seems almost as fraught as Jim's soon to be Mines graduate scheduling! I hope you find some good interesting classes that align with the virtual vs in person requirements!

Good mornin y'all!

I'm not feeling real great but hopefully it'll pass soon. I slept like a log, an old long dead log. LOL. It's sleep so I'll take it.

I have a meeting with my peer support buddy and I really like her! Last week we got smoked jalapeño poppers stuffed with smoked brisket. Omg, so good and I only had two! She is really awesome.

My mom is going to try and get in to see her doctor today. She thinks she has a UTI for something. Gawd she's a stubborn one. I tried to get her to go last week. Nurses and doctors, even retired ones, make the worst patients.

QOTD: we went to bath and body works yesterday and they had 40% off everything. My mom wanted to get my nieces a little set each. Well we also had a coupon for a free full sized product and a 20% coupon. So we got them a full size lotions and spray and I got a lotion , 4 products for less than 25 bucks. We had used a coupon before for another free bottle.

B: slice of GF almond flour quick bread and coffee x2 oh and an oz of cheese

L: salad with eggs and sunflower seeds

D: no clue right now!

Those poppers sound great. Glad you are connecting with your peer support.

Good morning ~ Sounds like a very long, busy work day - safe travels! I'd rather fly than drive. My work travel is all in state and since I live in the central CA, I have to drive no matter where I need to go. And you are still getting your work out in when you get home? That is Rockstar status right there! I got up and did 15 minutes on the rebounder and 15 minutes of yoga. It felt pretty good, plus I enjoyed it. Going to try something different everyday and keep it interesting. Audiobooks, DVR, Youtube, tik tok and iFit trainers will entertain me - I go this. Work is work, getting through these last few days of the month will be challenging but I can see shiny new December and the breathing room from here.

QOTD - I scored a lot of new Christmas decor at 50% off and 20% on top of that and used additional points and cash. Other than some really sentimental pieces and ornaments, I've had the same sorry stuff for 20-30 years and it was time. I've also said that every year and I've never done it, this was my year. And I'm officially done Christmas shopping, now just need to stop going overboard with little things. Have I mentioned my kiddo has a girlfriend? Things got serious after 6 months of 'hanging out'. She is coming to Christmas? How do I handle that gift wise? I finally meet her tomorrow for lunch.

Accountability - great 195 today!

coffee x4, cottage cheese

l - 1/2 chipotle bowl

d- turkey and broc/cauli gratin casserole

s- no snacks

845/80

e - 15 min rebounder, 15 min yoga

v/w - on track with reminders

Have an awesome day!!

Thanks! The rebounder was fun. I have to be careful with my knees, an easy mod though.

No, I'll just stream the ifit video on my phone and earbuds and walk the airport. It won't be as intense but it will keep me moving and I am enjoying the discussions with the two coaches.

I am jealous of your rebounder, I think that might be my 2024 fitness purchase!
