Good Sunday morning! What's on your menu?

Good morning ~ The struggle with the lights every year is real! Thankful for our prelit tree, but low key panic/pray when we go to turn those light on after putting it together every year and luckily they were fine. The outdoor lights, now that is a mess. Rob loves the Charlie Brown style ones. They are cute, but every year it's something. Anyway the house is decorated and looking adorable. Just the outside light and ornaments on the tree need to be hung. Kiddo is coming over later so we'll do that then. Otherwise, we are walking the dogs at the park, running errands and I need to organize my workout room, my new exercise schedule start tomorrow. I have no illusions of exercise induced weight loss, but added health and longevity. The whole point of losing weight is to feel better and exercise does that too. I don't want to think of it as punishment or torture, just healthy movement that I enjoy or I won't do it at all. I just know me.
QOTD - What are your most favorite Christmas movies? We've already watched Miracle on 34th and White Christmas, so I would say those for sure, but there are so many! Christmas in Conneticut, Christmas Story, Elf, Home Alone, the old shows like Rudolf and Charlie Brown and we always watch It's a wonderful Life on Christmas eve.
Accountability - Pretty good, except that bowl of loose m&m's - they are almost gone. never again. I seem to avoid the little fun size ones, but loose? Nope. 197.1 today.
b- coffee x 4, sausage, egg and cheese wrap
l - 1/2 turkey sandwich w/7g chips
d- turkey and broc/cauli gratin

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

I have never watched the Hallmark Christmas movies or forgot if I did years ago. This year I plan to spend some time watching and enjoying them. I don't feel well enough to attempt decorating because not sure of myself on ladders and stools. Just going to have a TV Christmas this year but think it will be fun.

Glad you're being safe. I empathize with your ladder policies...don't want to fall! You can still have a good holiday. :)

Mornin'!
it snowed overnight - not much on the ground (it's barely covered), but it's still flurrying. I think we're supposed to get more tonight. Street looks OK (at least from my bedroom window) - not sure about the sidewalks - but I'll do some indoor fitness today instead of walking outside. I'm too afraid of falling because of my osteoporosis - and there aren't any interesting classes at the gym today. Boo.
I'm feeling very bloated after three days of overeating (we had three Thanksgiving meals - cripes!). I took half a phentermine tablet earlier this morning in hopes I'll stay on track and under my calorie limit today. I prefer using my leftover tablets this way (my prescription ended in June, but I have about 20 left). I think they work better for me when I just take them for three or four days to rein in my eating (that is, if it's been out of control) to get me back on track. Otherwise, when I took them every day, my body eventually got used to them, so they didn't really work anymore. They used to have OTC appetite suppressants (like Dexatrim) that kind of worked like this as well (i.e., I used to use them temporarily years ago to rein in my eating and get me back on track), but they evidently don't make them anymore. Maybe people were using them to make meth? Not sure.
QOTD: I haven't seen a Christmas movie in years! I've seen "A Christmas Story" a zillion times, though - enough that it's fine if I never see it again...(although I do like it)
holding off as long as I can on breakfast, since I wasn't hungry when I woke up (in fact, I felt like bloat city), and on top of that, I took that half a phentermine about 30 minutes ago).
coffee with half & half (already had)
I put pumpkin yogurt down when I planned my menu last night (but as you know, I'm known to stray from my menu), but I may have a protein shake instead - but not until I'm actually feeling hungry)
some chicken/farro/chickpea/vegetable soup I made last night with some homemade turkey stock
charred Brussels sprouts
lime Ratio yogurt with raspberries
leftover turkey with 2 T mushroom gravy, leftover whipped sweet potatoes made with coconut milk and ginger
hopefully that is it. We're now in the season of constant social events, most of whi*****lude food, so I've really got to be careful - esp on the days when I don't have anything going on. I can't afford to gain any weight since I'm already at the top of my range.
have a great Sunday, all!

I think the main ingredient was ephedra which was banned in the early 2000s. I have seen green tea/caffeine versions in the weight loss aisle though.

I programmed my front lights to look like the old school Charlie Brown lights!
Qotd - die hard and love actually
i had to shovel snow yesterday so since I was all dressed up for the 18 degrees I went ahead and did my errands yesterday. Today I will do the Christmas decorations, timing it to be outside for the high of 40 degrees. I'm also making a chili so that will be perfect to warm up to. Will also get in a workout too. Amy, I'm with you that exercise isn't something I think of as part of weight loss anymore (even though my program did make me commit to a daily exercise minimum) but it's all about my mental health and keeping mobile as long as possible.
happy Sunday everyone!

Yes, mental health is a big part of it also! I was hoping you would tell me that your lights were programmable to Charlie Browns!!! One more reason to get those lights someday.

When you find an activity you really enjoy it is no longer "exercise" but for enjoyment. For some, skiing in the winter, hiking or biking in the summer. For me, it was yoga. Now I need to work my way back into a exercise routine. I am still on a lifting restriction (10 lbs) so my PT routine is my exercise.
