Happy Thanksgiving Menu Friends!
Our family switched to watching the national dog show on Thanksgiving due to all the arguments over football. A 12-step program might be helpful. When my husband was alive there would be a least four TV's going with his Pittsburgh Steelers so he did not have to worry about missing a play if he had to be on the deck or in another room. Enjoy Thanksgiving and your time off.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I made ossobuco and three kinds of salad w low-fat dressings . Homegrown baby zucchini and barely cooked peas .
Appetizer was shrimp/ low-fat andouille sausage and homemade chicken breast meatball gumbo. I've never made meatballs from chicken breast before and was worried they'd be dry but they weren't.. juicy n delicious.
dessert was Stollen from ALDIs ( they make a terrific one only around the holidays) a pear tarte train and seriously low-fat ( one gram per serving) eggnog from Trader Joe's with fat free whipped cream . Ate with a photographer friend fresh off photographing ( in the CBS booth- best seats in the house ) the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade . Check his photos out - James Ralph ...
Working on the terrace, organizing the apartment ( looking a little better) and getting this huge amount of paperwork completed and approved by my travel date mid December . Good luck with that lol
