What's up for your Saturday?
Good morning!
Unexpected rain storms yesterday evening. Love! My meet with the plumber went very well yesterday and I had a nice relaxing day of reading and being still until we went to try out the new Italian place. Pretty good we thought. Crispy Burrata was burrata that had some very thin coating on it and maybe flash fried? It was good, but not good enough for the extra calories. I'll the the burrata and the mortadella, please. Also, I wish I had taken a photo of it, but we ordered apps family style. So we got a three foot long board with the burrata, stuffed portabella mushrooms, arancini, fried calamari and shrimp and fresh focaccia and sauces and oils. 2 of the 6 of us didn't even order an entrée after that. But I was there to try the pasta, so I ordered Cacio e pepe. I almost never order pasta, and I loved my three bites. Rog will enjoy the rest for lunch this weekend.
This morning I was hoping to go take the aqua class at the Y now that I have my water shoes. But brown dog's stiches must come out and they can't see him until exactly the same time as the classes. So my goal for next week is to get into a routine with the classes, using the recumbent bike because that feels fine with my ankle, and maybe start working on some upper body weight machines. Need to build back better!
QoTD: Seriously. Depending on the inflection and the number of times I repeat it in a row, my family knows when they are in dangerous territory.
Menu today is
B: HB egg, 1 strip of bacon, 1 low cal string cheese
L: leftovers of the portabella mushroom and 1 arancini
D: small piece or rib eye, mashed potatoes and corn (from the damn chicken dish I made early in the week. I need to get this finished off and out of the fridge so I can start loading in for Thanksgiving and camping.)
Seriously, Happy Saturday! Peace everybody.

That board sounds delish. Yay that the stitches will come out and you have a plan for next week. I love when I can be in a routine

I've had a week. Crazy busy and way too many important things to get done before flying to Europe in three weeks .
Like ... arranging ( forever) payment for my apartment and repaying the significant arrears .
Finding my lost second car ( hopefully) with my very expensive laptop still in it .
Cleaning, photographing and making a floorplan and package of my former rent stabilized apartment.
Cleaning out first ( carjacked and thoroughly trashed) car and getting it to the detailer while paying for new plates .
Buying and building storage units for present apartment and organizing.
Cashing check and finding lost chiropractic prescription.
Making appointment with hand surgeon following surgery .
finding receipt for damaged large tv before Black Friday so it can be replaced.
Reordering electric fireplace for patio
finding receipt for non delivered outdoor tv from last year and getting it delivered
building outdoor furniture and ( hopefully) replacing turf rugs
Arranging responsible cat sitting while I'm gone
Reading and vetting and signing contract for home with bank . Setting closing date.
Turning on gas in house and turning on heat . Have to pay Homeserve and get a furnace check first . Pulling down windows I can't manage in house and in bulkhead house or boarding them up.
collecting three month's overdue dock rent
buying Christmas presents for a hundred relatives and packing into a carryon. ( luggage fee is almost same as ticket lol)
Traveling out of state to obtain emergency duplicate passport w/ out virtually any ID thanks to the carjacking .
Replacing stolen I pad while deal is still available.
You can see I have a crazy life ! Still, this week I managed to see four operas including a first ever gala performance at the Metropolitan Opera house and yesterday I interviewed and toured Columbia College. I'm excited!
Food has been good - I can't eat very much at a time so basically my refrigerators and freezers are absolutely stuffed to bursting. The cats eat well though lol !
My Apple Watch says I walk an average of 4.25 miles per day despite driving a car in the City and I'm feeling very healthy and energetic.
My iron levels tested dangerously low though and I will need an intravenous infusion as well as chiropractic on my neck, shoulder and spine .
early breakfast ( 6 am) 1/2 scone , 1/2 danish chai tea
b: Indian food from Whole Foods mostly chicken and squash ( 1/2 small plate )
snack - meatloaf w mashed potatoes ( couple of spoonfuls)
plan: coffee , ice milk , salad n soup for dinner
I'm also having issues with stomach capacity- I purchase or cook a bunch of food and then can only eat a few bites.
Weight wise I'm surprisingly normal because I eat all the time ... but I was told after my endoscopy that my stomach is the size of a golf ball . There are things I can eat a lot of like salad but meat and dense foods are just a couple of bites and done .
A little frustrating and super important that I take my meds !

It's definitely very important to stay up on meds, vitamins and minerals.
