What's up for your Saturday?

good morning everyone and happy Saturday! I have been up for hours and unusual for me, annoyed by it. I even tried to go back to sleep but it didn't take, lol. it's a lot easier to be awake early at home, I think

Qotd - if you could only use one word for the rest of your life what would it be? I'd probably go with "Dude", as a child of the 80s, you can communicate so much with that one word just by inflection.....and unlike my #2 choice which is also 4 letters.....I can use it in all audiences.

today is a long one, early site visit, in office wor****il I head to the airport, no direct options from here to there so have to connect. Connections is in Nashville though so I am bribing myself that my snacky snack can be a moon pie. Sometimes, we take the motivation we can get, lol. I did a very lazy half hour on the hotel treadmill but it was something, lots of walking today too.

since I get in late, my sister is dropping off half and half, some L&f Greek and some cheese at the Airbnb for me so I have good choices when I get in and when I'm awake before civilized visiting time tomorrow. She's the best!

menu today is

coffee plus half and half x all I can get

egg bites

moon pie

cheese and yogurt

have a fantastic Saturday everyone!

Good mornin everyone! Wishing you a smooth travel day Jen!

Not much planned for the day that I know of and I'm ok with that. I found what I'll be making for presents and I need to see what I have in way of rings for it. I know I'll need to order two sizes at least...maybe just one if I can find a small packet of the one tiny size. Will share when I get one done! I wish I could order the rings right this minute because I'm itching to do it! You always want to do what you can't! It's for the best since I'll be needing to make a belt come Monday.

I'm trying to hold out on my tooth till the last week of November. Hoping I can make it because I don't want to deal with it while cooking and all.

QOTD: ohhh good one. I know one that it won't be...I can't stand the overuse of "like". If I had to pick just one word for like it'd be cool. That's the family friendly version for me too. Knowing me the one I'd stick with is ****

B: eggs, salsa, cheese and 4 crackers. Coffee x 2 with gingerbread whipped cream

L: Salad

D: no idea

Exciting that you have your plan for gifts! I have to work on some ideas because I have none. Gingerbread whipped cream sounds delish

Good morning ~ Your memes are my life! I can only imagine having insomnia at a hotel or airbnb, that would stink. What an awesome sister you have!! Enjoy your moon pie. We are going to walk the dogs if it's not raining to hard then I will run to Costco again because I forgot my member card yesterday. Otherwise, I am going to enjoy the rainy day, maybe do some WFH and house stuff. The cluttered cupboards/drawers are calling my name so reorganizing will probably happen.

QOTD - Dude is perfect, but I prefer word #2, audience be damned.

Accountability - great, 197 day 3.

B- coffee x a billion, eggs and salsa

l-ham and cheese wrap in the air fryer

d - Rob enchiladas

s - cucumber/tom if needed

Have a great day!!

Costco two days in a row? That is dedication to getting that done.

At Costco if you go to the member desk they can give you a temporary card to use that day. It can't be used for gas though.

Mornin' Weekenders!

nice party last night, but of course I ate too much. Feeling it this morning. And I have a potluck lunch this afternoon (my monthly cookbook club) and another party tonight. UGH. Then Wednesday starts the more official holiday eating month, since we're having Thanksgiving with my mom then (and again on Thursday with my MIL). Like I said the other day, I'm going to have go low (as in calories) on the days I don't have events going on, and try to control myself the days I DO have events going on.

QOTD: not sure - although I do seem to say "Crap!" a lot.

coffee with half & half

plain skyr with cranberry compote

protein shake? (potluck isn't until 1:30 - I'll probably need to eat something before then or I'm at risk of overdoing it)

dinner - no clue - probably nothing at home since I'm sure the party tonight (6:00-9:00) will have plenty o' food

have a great day, everyone!

funny you should mention Milk Street - this was Christopher Kimball day at the cookbook club! We could make a recipe out of any of the books in the Milk Street series!

I"m thinking of ordering that new book, too. I've read the thing is massive!!
