Why did he come home from Vega's? He could have stayed. Hopefully they can pull the drain tomorrow. Praying for Brown dog.

He needed his golf clubs and he had committed to driving for his old buddies group. They have been on the road for like 10 minutes and I am sure one of them is napping already!

Brown dog says thank you!!!

QOTD- Mocha in the morning and 1 cup of black coffee, plain cold water the rest of the day. Does wine count?

Another gray day here, but at least it's not raining or not right now. The leaves are mostly gone from my white oak, and the rest of the trees are slowly losing their leaves. Mostly the only color we get is yellow, but there are a few trees that turn red and an occasional orange. Right now it is pretty, and I'm so thankful my yard guys are dealing with the leaves. What a gift.

I signed up for my Medicare Advantage plan yesterday. Through my retirement they offer a plan that is better than what I had this year for less money so I'm going for it. I really wasn't aware that they offered it, I thought that I was on my own. It's a lot less money and they will deduct it from my pension, so I don't have to pay it out of pocket.

The battery in my phone is swelling and pushing the back off of my phone. I have another one on order and as soon as it comes in they will call me and replace it. I'd love a new phone but just can't justify the expense.

I hope Sheila is doing OK.

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry to hear about your cat. I know you had a few, I am sure they are missing her.

G'afternoon, everyone!

I had a bunch of stuff to do this morning, including taking one of the cats to the vet, so I'm just now getting around to my usual morning routine. I still have a blood draw scheduled for this afternoon (for the new osteoporosis drug I've been on for the last month - they're checking my calcium and albumin levels) and will go to the gym right after or before since the buildings are across the street from each other. Zoom meeting at 6:00.

QOTD: coffee first thing in the morning, then (often) a protein shake (sometimes for breakfast, sometimes for a morning snack), rest of the day is usually flavored water. Pre-surgery I drank water plain, but I really don't like it anymore - unless it's at a restaurant. Not sure if it's been filtered, or if it's the ice, or the temp - but whatever it is, plain water always tastes better at restaurants.

coffee with half & half

plain skyr with fruit

crumpet with butter and jam

apple

half of some microwavable dish I picked up somewhere - (fake beef, rice, and broccoli. Good but not great)

will probably have a Ratio yogurt for an afternoon snack

the mushroom tortelloni with marina sauce that I didn't have last night

Grim mentioned feeling depressed after watching the morning news. Ha! I just posted this on Facebook a little while ago (actually came up as a Facebook memory). It's how I feel pretty much every time I read the morning news:
