Ha- this was us yesterday. We both could not believe it was only 5pm, not midnight last night. I think I have a little bug that is making me tired. I napped yesterday and then slept for 9+ hours straight last night!!! I feel like I'm on a toddler's sleep schedule.

I did get a lot of baking done yesterday and need to keep at it today. I am excited about how well my Thanksgiving and Christmas classes are selling but whew--it's a ton of work. Each class is about 40 hours of prep, and I am teaching 10 classes in a 5 week stretch, so there are literally not enough hours in the day--especially if I need to sleep this much, lol.

QOTD: Do you have electronic reminders set? I have the pre-set reminders that come on my Apple Watch. It tells me to breathe, stand, etc. The aforementioned new-age positive woman yesterday had an hourly chime on her phone to remember to stop and do a positive affirmation. I'm like the opposite because I say bad words to my watch every time it tells me to do something. I was furious yesterday because I was on my feet, baking, for 5 hours straight and my stupid watch kept telling me to stand. My responses were NOT positive affirmations.

Accountability: Rough start. I was feeling so off in the morning that I just wanted comfort food, so that's how I started the day. But then I got back on track :)

Good morning and happy Tuesday! QJB, sometimes you just need the comfort food and if you don't give it to yourself you make bad choices longer trying to avoid it!

I have to be on a plane at 4:45 this morning and I would like to whine about that but in all honestly I was up, had a coffee and was in the shower when my alarm went off to tell me to get up, so I'm not sure what I'd be complaining about, lol.

I get to our office in phoenix at 8 and I fly home at 5 pm so it's a "normal" business day I guess but will feel long with the down and back commute, will be some very good meetings though.

Unless I walk the airports and get my steps in, I'm not expecting any workout today. Although I have convinced myself that my backpack is like a weight vest so I could possibly get some active minutes, we will see.

Whoops, forgot the Qotd - probably because I don't use reminders of any kind. I do set an alarm to wake up but very rarely does it go off. Maybe I need one to remind me to do Qotd!

That is quite a commute for one day! I agree about the comfort food, so many unnecessary calories consumed trying to avoid it.

Morning everyone!

That's so much cookie work, JB! Your house must smell divine! At least it would to me.

QOTD- Yep, but my reminders are very domestic. Heartworm pills for the dogs, septic tank treatment, replace well and air filters, pest control. I have a workout schedule built that sends reminders, too.

Getting ready to kick off and drive to a work retreat that's a couple of hours away. I raised my hand for the planning committee and will follow up today on making sure the wellness speaker for tomorrow is coming. Our focus is wellness, which is exciting to me. I've signed up for martial arts, yoga, and meditation. Can't do the group hike tomorrow so I'm going early today and hope I can talk myself into doing it alone. Hiking alone does make me nervous for safety reasons. We'll see! I think it's two miles each way.

It's battle season at my house. The bugs and wasps know it's time to find a place to overwinter and the bleeps are chewing holes in my eaves and working themselves into all the cracks. I'll need more caulking soon as I'm sure being hit with bug spray isn't doing great things for the wood. I have wooden everything and clapboard siding. Love my house, need to keep working on maintenance!

Anybody here that can recommend a good travel outfit for Thailand? I'm looking at planning for a lantern festival next year that's been on my bucket list for a very long time and could use some suggestions!

Accountability- Picked up a curry last night in town. Didn't fini**** but it was nice to have.

Today's menu is a whole pot of tea I've brewed, with leftovers in my 40oz travel mug, an oikos pro yogurt, barebells bar, getaway food. I'll bring a few protein bars but they had a good dinner last time.
