What's on your Thursday Menu?
QOTD- When I was younger I downhill skied not very well and I truly hated it. My perfect ski day is with a drink in my hand sitting in front of the fireplace. I've never cross-country skied.
Well my roommate is officially fired. He was fired on October 9 and was notified yesterday. Plus his FMLA was approved so it is not legal for them to fire him when he's on FMLA. He's just frustrated because he was planning on going back to work last week. He's also been trying to get a hold of anyone where he works via email, voicemail and text. No one talked to him until yesterday. About a week ago he got a COBRA notice in the mail, which means he is no longer employed. They told him he needed to reapply and then they told him they would not take him back. Honestly he is so unlucky, if anything is going to go wrong it will for him. He can now get unemployment, and hopefully for the weeks when they didn't notify him.
Still no solution for my Mom's transportation needs, I did see that Lyft offers a monthly pass, but I don't know if they accommodate wheel chairs. So frustrating, hopefully there is a solution out there.
