I don't really worry about it (bowel obstructions) because from what I've been told, they're actually pretty rare - but yes, it would be a nightmare if you were one of those folks dealing with one!! I feel terrible for Lana!!

Yay for no candy! I almost made it and blew on a lousy 1/2 of a payday bar.

Good morning! November brings a busy month and it's going to fly by. My accountability for last night was 1 fun size milky way bar and 3 pieces of Milk Duds. Chocolate and caramel get me every time. Real food wise I was perfect the entire day. I went with a small cup of chili for dinner. Still wishing I ate a bbq cup though. Apparently I did a real good job on them and people we packing them up and leaving with them.

It was craziness on our street last night. Looked like Bourbon Street with the crowds coming in waves. But all the trick or treaters we so polite and really well behaved. I love our neighborhood. We all enjoyed hanging out and interacting with the crowds and ohhing and ahhing over the costumes. Not that I am prejudiced or anything, but I'm still voting my oldest grand's costume for the win of the night. Picture on Friday. We got all the Halloween decorations packed up last night except the puking skeleton and he's headed to the basement right now.

We are packed and leaving for Vegas in a couple hours. Tomorrow is Roger's birthday and our son is taking him to a Golden Knights hockey game and we have plans to celebrate Thanksgiving early at a special restaurant. Our son "has to be in Paris" Thanksgiving week, per a "client request". I'm trying to be a reasonable Mama, but Thanksgiving is the holiday we spend with this kid. I'm holding onto the fact they don't celebrate Thanksgiving in France, so why wouldn't they have a corporate event? Mostly I'm bitter he didn't say "Come with me!!!"

QoTD: See above

Menu is iffy.

I've got jerky and Quest Cheese crackers packed for emergencies. I will have breakfast at home and then just work on being a reasonable person for the next 4 days.

Peace Everybody!

While in Vegas test the waters with DS, see if he is amenable to you going with him. You'd never know until you ask.

QOTD- We had more kids than last year, and got lots of compliments on the decorations. We only had 1 bag of candy 155 pieces and have some left.

I grabbed the blow-up decoration and brought it in as the rain is coming. I also brought in all the tombstones and bones.

I managed to be a clutz and fall coming in the front door, I hit face first and thought I knocked my teeth out. Only real damage was my hand I tore the skin and the bruise is about half of my hand. It sucks getting old.

The local transit company has changed it's routes, so now because my Mom isn't within 3/4 mile from a stop she no longer has the lift service. Which is for people with disabilities and mobility issues. It will stop on 1/1/24 so she is scrambling to find another source of transport. The one we know of does not service her county, there may be something through her medicare advantage plan, I told her to call them. Since the lift service is funded through taxes it doesn't seem right to ignore people who need the service, even if they do change the bus routes.

I only had 3 candies, so I call that a win. Last year it was one after another.

Have a great day everyone!

Hope you feel better soon, and your mom gets a plan in place for transportation. Good luck
