What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Mornin' All!
we're supposed to get snow flurries all morning, so I'm hoping they're right and that it won't "stick". With my osteoporosis, I live in fear of slippery sidewalks. Now that I'm retired, I won't navigate them unless I have to - which means I'll skip class if they're bad. Although I think they should be OK today. I'm going to a Halloween party later today (it goes from 4:00-8:00, so I'm thinking it's more of a drop-in thing), but it should be OK by then. We're supposed to bring an appetizer. I'm thinking pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) because it's super easy, and I'm pretty sure no one else will bring that.
QOTD: no - not that I know of
I'll try to eat lightly again given the party today
coffee with half & half
skyr with cranberry compote
hummus sandwich with tomato and cucumber slices
may eat some Keto thing to fill me up before heading out to the party
protein shake??
have a great day, everyone!
Make sure you are careful with slippery sidewalks. Have you thought about "Ice traction cleats"? they slip on shoes like galoshes and while can be a pain, they work very well....

My previous employer gave a set to every employee, we had a campus that had several buildings and had many fall injuries. The ice cleats worked well.

I just saw shoes that had flip-out cleats for when it gets icy. I'm skeptical about their durability, but it's something I'd never seen before.

I am always afraid of falling and these are the answer. For the price way better than a broken hip.

Good morning ~ I hope you are able to avoid having a super stressful job again, please take care. How did Halloween sneak up so fast? I though it is was at least a few days away still. On to November and Thanksgiving foods which hopefully means they bring back the frozen veggie au gratin dish at TJ's - so stinking good but seasonal so I'm going to by 10. I'm not obsessed at all.
There was a fire on the hill right behind my office yesterday and we were evacuated. I'm not able to log onto the server so they probably cut the power at some point. I don't know if the building is still standing - nothing on the news, but I assume I would have heard by now and that it's perfectly fine. It's off to work I go.
QOTD - No, not at all.
Accountability - great, 203 today
b- coffee x 4, cottage cheese
l - chicken and spicy cauli rice w/greek yogurt and salsa
d - TBD - I hate not having a plan
s- cucumber and tajin
Have a great day!
