Good Morning! Our little trip was a perfect 24 hours away - just what the doctor ordered! It was wonderful to see my sweet sweet niece, we ate some great seafood, went to a lovely apple orchard, saw the autumn leaves, and front row seats at the concert was phenomenal!
Now we are off to get a new knee for Grim! His procedure starts at about 1pm but we need to leave here at about 9am to have time to drive in and for his prep. Wish him a happy, speedy recovery!
QOTD: Are you a hat person? I love hats! They are a favorite accessory, and I wi**** was still the fashion for women to wear fancy ones all the time. That said, I rarely have the opportunity to wear anything except for a winter beanie.
Accountability: Not a low-cal 24 hours.
I really don't know what I will do for food today. There are a lot of places in and around the hospital, and I will probably need both lunch and dinner out. I'm kind of craving soup, so maybe something from Panera. I'll bring a protein bar, too, in case there are no decent options.

Good mornin everyone! Wishing Grim all the luck and an uneventful recovery!
No call yesterday, not a happy camper. I have an appointment this morning so I'll call after that. I just shouldn't have to hound these places...frankly I'm sick of it. I'm not going to stop though.
I had just about the worst foot/calf cramp this morning. It was just excruciating and I was in tears. It took 15 minutes for it to die down. I couldn't walk normally or else it'd cramp tighter. Eek.
QOTD: I have a big head so hats are usually hard to find that I like. I like them on other people though!
I don't know about food.

It's has been an overly ****ty day. Talked to the neurosurgery place. They wouldn't see me until I got an X-ray. I called my PCP and they couldn't do it. So they wanted me to go to the ER to be seen. So I did all this bull**** Now I'm waiting more freaking time to hear back from the first place mentioned. I could just sit a bawl if I were to let myself.

Good morning and wow, it's Wednesday already! The week is zipping along.
It's a good day for a cardigan here but winter is arriving with a bang this weekend, I just saw our overnight lows over the weekend will be in the teens. I'm ready for it though, I'm a winter girl at heart. I am hoping the snow holds off until I get home from some fun on Saturday mid day though. The first snow always brings out the stupid in drivers.
Good luck to Grim today and I hope you have something to entertain yourself with while waiting.
Busy workday ahead but nothing planned after work, so that's nice. My Fitbit has eased me back into working out this week, after the 177 active minutes on Saturday, but it's back to a full 70+ today so I have that to get done too.
menu today
coffee plus half and half X 3
cottage cheese with raisins and cinnamon
turkey and cheese sandwich
ham and egg scramble
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Morning gang. I'm worried about recovery after surgery, when they ask those cognitive questions to see if you are fully aware. What do I say if they ask me who is Speaker of the House????
QOTD: I'm not a hat person. My head is just too large. Though, I bang it so often I should have some kind of padded helmet.

I'll be thinking of you today. We can start a bionic band with all these new, manufactured body parts. I'm hip to that idea.

What cognitive questions? Guess I've been doing it wrong this whole time. Apparently, I do talk to the nurses a lot and assure them that I'm awake and awake and ask how surgery went...even though I, of course, don't remember it. I'm sure they get that stuff all the time. Yours will be great!
