Hey, all. I just got a note from the doctors PA, and he says it's all set. I need to call after 3:00 tomorrow to get the actual surgery time for Wednesday. I'm hoping for early early. Beat the traffic.

No wonder health care costs so much. Most people seem to deal only with paperwork nonsense, rather than actually providing healthcare.

Good morning. HIIT class is done. Wow that was hard after 3 full weeks off. I did finally haul myself off the couch yesterday and got in almost 3 miles after a week of being a couch potato. Hopefully I'm back in the swing of things. Food choices were really good yesterday. Today brings a bit of shopping and housework and more reading of Holly (Which by the way Amy, I think gave me really unsettling dreams last night!)

Food today:
B cottage cheese and hb egg

L leftover porkchop and sweet potato

D roasted chicken, potatoes and carrots

Ok -- the saga continues. These are all in Izmir, Turkey. We visited the house of the Virgin Mary. It was tiny and somewhat interesting and there was a very pretty prayer wall. Also, you could rinse your hands in Holy Water. I did not do that. was a bit afraid of a lightening strike. From there we went to Ephesus. It was phenomenal. Gorgeous. Stunning. Not enough words. Pictures from there are of the Goddess Nike, assorted marble they have found, a kitty making the best of it, and mainly, the very large structure is the Library. Painstakingly put back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Where the men would gather to learn and govern. They found a secret passageway from the Library to the brothel. Like "Honey, I'm just going to hang out with the guys at the Library and I'll be home by 10..."

From there they took us to lunch at a "local handicrafts center". Lunch was all regional specialties and very good. Roger made a new buddy. But the center was actually a Turkish rug farm and WOW do they apply the hard sell!

Finally, we made it back to our room to find sweet canapes waiting for us and got dressed for fancy dinner night. The last photo should be my dessert. A floating island. Also known as diabetes on a plate. Tomorrow we'll head for Santorini.

Peace Everybody!
