Good Morning everyone! I hate it when I wake up more tired than I was when I went to bed. I tossed and turned the entire night, feeling yucky from the heartburn. My diet yesterday probably didn't help anything. I wasn't hungry again, so I had my breakfast at 10:30am, then Grim came home and surprised me by swooping in and whisking me off to the movies in the afternoon. We saw Killers of the Flower Moon from 3pm - 7pm, so basically I ate eggs and popcorn yesterday.

Today we're going to have lunch out with a friend and otherwise, just more of the same. Ditto for the weekend.

QOTD: Do you take a PPI every day? I go on and off with it. I have had terrible ongoing acid reflux since Day 1 of my Lap Band surgery in 2006, but I know the long-term effects of taking them can be dementia and kidney failure, so I try to just go on and off them with regularity, but I am not sure if I am making the right gamble, because long term effects of acid are also not good.

Accountability: eggs and popcorn

  • Protein coffee
  • eggs
  • lunch - tbd, not sure where we are going
  • dinner - probably leftovers from lunch -- if not I'll have chicken

Good morning QJB and menuers,

So sorry to hear you didn't sleep well. Hopefully it doesn't mean what feels like an extra long day.

QOTD- Not right now. In figuring out all of the GI things I've been taken off just about everything. Yay for that but I don't know how to interpret whether some of what happens is acid, bile, or other.

It's been a busy week or so. I did two full days of Dale Carnegie last week that resulted in being recorded for five presentations. It's eye-opening to see yourself present, especially once you start getting feedback. I have dead face, which makes a ton of sense if you know my history but isn't helpful when interacting with people.

Yay for Friday!

Menu today is protein pudding, chicken and corn egg drop soup, chicken enchilada casserole, boiled eggs, and at least 100oz of water.

I've been using online workout videos, though the instructor didn't show for the 4:45 class a bit ago. Boo. Glad to be working my heart, mind, and body.

Pics are of snuggle pup, my magnet wall where I add from regions or countries I've visited, some soup, my new tea cup I didn't need but love, my new tea pet, and a pic I took during the partial eclipse last weekend. Cheers.

That is my first tea pet, a stylized Jin Chan lucky frog with three legs. He's supposed to attract good luck and fortune. He's the first tea pet to "speak" to me, to say. I'm looking for a smaller clay one to help me feel good about getting into tea ceremonies. We'll see!

Aww! I'd love to see it! Haven't seen a sloth in any of the options so far, so it sounds super unique!

Good mornin everyone.

Today promises to be very long. We have the kids after school but also my niece Rachel has a concert tonight that we have to take them too. Not looking forward to the seats in their auditorium! Hoping the ombudsman folks call back early. She never returned my message I left yesterday.

They never called to cancel the appointment with my neurosurgeon's NP. So maybe it's a go. The reason I want a new neurosurgeon is this one has pretty much said he isn't willing to do anything else. He doesn't do much major surgeries anymore or even mid difficulty surgeries. All I know is I need someone who is willing to do something for me. I simply can't live like this for a very long time. I'm 42 and I shouldn't have to live with this amount of pain. I'm hoping they'll at least order current imaging/tests. A couple or so months ago I fell into the sink in the bathroom and that's right about when the pain level went up even more.

QOTD: I take omeprazole OTC. Every time I try to go without it I pay for it.

B: oatmeal(what didn't boil over the cup...LOL) and coffee

L: salad with boiled eggs

D: something quick that I haven't decided on...maybe a simple sandwich

pic dump! I made the pendant yesterday and I'm on the fence about it.
