Good morning all. Today is a lost day, with a bunch of driving and appointments for tests at two different Boston hospitals. I'll make sure the horn is working before I leave the driveway.

QOTD. I don't always eat the same thing. I think I have shifts about every year or so. I eat the same few things for a year, then switch to another few things. I recognize that most people have no desire to do that. But it works for me, and I'm happy with it. I will say that Quest bars are magic. I always lose while eating them regularly. I think it's because it's impossible to overeat. Have a sandwich and it's easy to add an extra slice of this, or a little more of that. If I wasn't weighing food, strictly, my brain always made me take a little more. Unwrap a Quest bar, and that's all there is.

I will periodically try Quest bars, especially when I see a new, potentially yummy flavor but I have never found one I like. I do agree that if you can go with the pre-portioned and stop at one, it's a huge help, whether it's quest bars, a cheese stick, an egg, lol.

It's funny, I try new flavors once in a while, and often love them. At first. But pretty soon they end up sitting there, and I have to force myself to finish them. I hate waste. You'll be shocked to hear this, but I always go back to the same three flavors.

I seldom have them, but the wee bags of Popchips are the only way I can control eating chips. One ounce bag or 15 ounces, I'll eat just one bag.

Good morning and yay, it's jr friday!!

QOTD - depending on what the food is, I could do that. I don't but I could.

We walked to dinner last night and stopped at an ice cream shop on the way home, I thoroughly enjoyed walking in the fall with a Childs sized cone of banana pudding ice cream. Delish and so decadent.

Today is just work, a light workout day, and having a freezer delivered. My life is so exciting! My aunt's last full day here is tomorrow so we're going to go see Killers of the Flower Moon once I get off work tomorrow. I thought the book was great and I'm sure the movie will be good considering Scorsee and DiCaprio but not sure any movie needs to be 3 hours and 36 minutes.

menu today

coffee plus half and half x 2

pumpkin yogurt

salami and cheddar

dinner will be whatever my aunt picks

Have a terrific Thursday everyone!

At that length, I doubt they cut anything from the book.

Well have to see it in the theater. The only way I can make JB sit still for 4 hours is in a theater, or if I chain her to an anvil.

Jen, do you dump on ice cream? I can have just a little, but it goes quickly downhill from there.

I can eat a very small amount of ice cream. About once a year I'll break down and try it. But if I eat even a little too much, it makes me feel like dying.

Depends on the brand and the volume. I don't do it often, but if I do, the kiddie size and only after a protein high meal.

that book was great. Let us know how the movie is. If it's really good, I may be able to manage to sit for 3.5 hours...

Yay for a productive day but nay for heartburn ugh. I'm on Protonix which I think helps with that? Good reminder to take my pill!

Im about to take the train home. It was nice to see my mom and support her for her cancer treatment this week but I REALLY miss my huge second screen setup I have at home. My old eyes! It will feel good to be in my own bed tonight!

I am sooooo excited - I have tickets to a comedy show tomorrow - Michelle Buteau who is just hilarious. She wrote directed and starred in Survival of the Thickest on Netflix. It's one of the most inclusive casts I've ever seen! Highly recommend.

Qotd: nope I don't have the willpower. My mom does that and weighs about 120 lbs. Berries for breakfast, salad with turkey for lunch. Never deviates. Her dinner varies.

B: half of a jersey mikes turkey sandwich

L: the other half

d: a big TBD! Have to see what food I have at home!
