Hopefully he won't burn out but caregiving is hard. He sounds very caring and hopefully his mother is aware of how lucky she is to have his support

Men who are that devoted to their mothers do make good husbands. My brothers were the same way and ran to my mother at any time for any reason. They never got resentful and felt lost after she passed away.
You would still look great with French braids and might want to try them again sometime for a different look.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good Morning on Friday-Eve! Happy Birthday to your dad and I hope you guys have a great time celebrating. Em made us safely to Boise and had zero issues so now she can have some fun.
QOTD: I used to be able to do low braids on my own hair and could French braid Em's when she was little. She was able to teach herself with YouTube videos to do her own braids, fishtails and a ton of others. She doesn't do it much anymore.

Good morning all and Happy Thursday,
Let's all have a socially relevant day!
24 hours til Gametime! Everything is in place for surgery prep. I need to clean my place and pack for vacation at my Mom's. I was so grateful that my mom has opened up her Vernon Hills home so I can start recovery there. Moms are great(most of the time...) Positive thoughts and Energy only; bad energy out, good energy in.
QOTD- I do know how to braid. I wonder how many men, who don't have daughters, know how to braid. I can just do a simple braid and it's no work of art.
Accountability - Land ho! Junk food ahead! I'm splurging today
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine, 1/2 koughn amin.
L: Pork Shish-ka-bob sandwich and award winning fries. I'll attempt to only eat 10 fries. Mr. D's shish-ka-bobs is my favorite mom and pop joint to support. Mom tends the register in a green collared shirt, Pop tends the grill in an apron, 45 year old junior is relegated to fries. Junior has been working there for 28 years and he's still 'learning' according to pops. I can go on and on...
D: TBD. maybe a steak with rosemary garlic compound butter or or bbq shrimp. Some green veggie.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Good morning, everybody!
I was going to try and get a video call together to wish Matt good luck with his surgery Friday , but I blew it. Sorry, Matt and best wishes for tomorrow.
Sheila, Bon Voyage and Happy Dentistry. Chrissy, I know we have you for another day.
Hard one at the gym yesterday. First, we did 50 jumping jacks as part of warming up. I always feel like there is too much stuff flying around during jumping jacks. Then, we squatted long sets: 10 @155, 8 @140, 8 @125.
Then a pyramid chipper:
10 30 pound dumbbell thrusters
20 30 pound dumbbell push press
30 30 pound dumbbell cleans
40 GHD Hip Extensions
50 Burpees
60 situps
70 squats
300 jump rope singles
I got a PR at 23:54, but I was exhausted. Went home and sat on the couch for 40 minutes, dragged myself up for Happy Hour, and then fell asleep at 8:00.
That strength was too much with the chipper.
QOTD: I can barely keep my shoelaces tied
Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: Steak
Dinner: Beef Stew
Have a great day, all!

G'morning all!
QJB - HBD to your dad. Wishing him a day full of joy and yummy stuff. I must be on some sort of cube croissant algorithm because now all I see on my FYP is croissants. In NY they have the cubed ones filled with Nutella...be still my heart!!!
There is a little bit of mayhem in my family because both DD and I are traveling tomorrow to Frankfurt. She from DC and me from San Francisco. Did I tell you guys DD is coming to Italy too? Just for a week, but I am very happy. First it's Fri the 13th we are traveling, but that's just superstition. Second , Hamas has declared a day of Jihad on Friday. Looking at the news the former leader of Hamas is telling people to take to the streets to protest against Israel. But reading into it some ppl are mentioning to avoid public places, public transport and airplanes. Yikes!!! So my mom is telling me to change flights but it's not that easy, and Lufthansa doesn't take what Hamas says as emergency.
QOD - I'm a master of hair braids. I went to Catholic school so I had to have my hair braided at all times. On top of that I was in charge of my sister's hair in the morning so her hair was braided too. I can do French braid but I don't have the patience for it anymore.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee
- Scrambled eggs w/cheese
- Iced coffee w/PP, Fage yogurt w/few Lilly's choc chips
- Garlic bread cheese, cold cuts, soy crackers w/unexpected cheddar spread
- E: 5 miles Wog + Weights
Happy jr Fri-yay!
