Hey everyone. The Rennaissance fair was interesting. Such a mix. In addition to the rennaissance and middle ages, there were a lot of men in kilts, as it was also highland games day. I I also saw a lot of pirates, elves, hobbits, furries, a few Jedi, and one guy in a Starfleet uniform that disgusted me. He had his Com badge on the right side instead of the left.

QOTD: i am certainly not a costume person. I don't think I've worn one since I was a kid. I only wore it then to get free candy. Now I have money. I do have an "outfit" that only gets worn while painting. It's got 20 or 30 years of paint splatters and smudges all over it. I had it on several years ago when making a last minute trip to the supermarket for Halloween candy -- by it early, eat it all; by it late, hand it out. Anyway, the checkout person asked what I was supposed to be. I had no idea what she meant. She thought I was in a costume.

I get confused every day with wearing a costume as I am always dressed as a serial killer. JK

I think Renaissance festivals these days are just an open invitation to show up however you feel like...and gnawing on a giant, smoked turkey leg. I think that part is required.

Must be the ambience. And inflation. Because I'm pretty sure you can buy a whole ham or more for that. Insanity! I remember them being like...$6. Well, 20 years ago or something.

I think I pay less than 17 for a very large Christmas turkey. Feeds a whole army. And the drumsticks and wings usually get thrown out.

Good morning ~ I'm glad your knee did well! Hopefully you can get back to walking without it screaming at you. Standing is hard on your body as there is little movement so it stresses your knees for stability - much worse than walking. Good news. Now I want to go to a Ren Faire! It's been 10+ years and I'm overdue.

Lovely hotel, the bed was amazing so no pain today. The property and views are great too. As soon as it's light enough, I'm heading out for a walk on the beach w/my coffee. Praying the food is decent and not swimming in sauce, water or grease like last time. It's doesn't have to be gourmet, just normal, ya know? I really like this conference - content is interesting, very relevant and well done. The people are great too.

Robs new boss wants to meet us for dinner tomorrow night here! to meet me. She is from LA area. I only brought work and lounge clothes, so I will have to figure that out but it will be nice to share this place with Rob - he'll love it.

QOTD - Sometimes? I dressed up for the OH costume party - that was fun, but I can't remember the last time I did otherwise. I always see great costumes and think I'm doing that next year, but I never do.

Accountability - spot on although I did think about having a ****tail, many times.

B-TBD eggs and fruit are the plan

l- TDB - meat and veg/salad are the paln

d- The rest of my chicken and kale salad from last night or out again, not sure

No snacks, no alcohol and water water water

Heading out to walk

Have a wonderful day!

I hope it works out, Rob is so attached to our elderly fur brood that he is hesitating. I'm going to ask Jess if he'll stay over so Rob doesn't worry.
