What's on your Sunday menu?

Good morning everyone! Hope you all are having a great weekend so far.
Yesterday was better. My mom is at least talking to me. All be it very strained. She told me I may think she's crazy but she knows what she knows. She refuses to believe the police or me. Shrug.
I woke up with a sore throat and my back has decided it is a good time to really intensify the pain more so. I just hope the throat stuff clears up and is nothing.
Nothing planned for the day that I know of.
QOTD: what's your plans for the rest of the week?
I have an appointment Wednesday with my psychiatric NP. Other than that not much else set in stone.
B: mini frittatas with avocado and cheese
L: Mexican style pork used to make a few tacos
D: ????

Your mother has been living her life based on her assumption that the neighbor is making drugs. Being proven wrong is not going to be easy for her to accept. Until you find out what the smell is that is bothering her, she will continue to believe what she always has.
Did you also smell something, or do you think she imagined the smell?
Whatever the root cause, I am sorry you are having to go through this.

It's even harder when people have been doubling down on what they believe for so long. Sometimes people just don't have the ability to admit they were wrong. It's so hard to do.

Glad it sounds like a net positive overall. I didn't post yesterday but did send you good thoughts.
I just made it home and have unloaded everything but the bedding. Didn't make it through the night and had to take a nap. I'm glad the house is pretty clean and I can focus on what needs to be done.
QOTD- I have a presentation tomorrow so I'll work on my talking points tonight. Also have all day training Wednesday and Thursday. Since I worked a good bit last week, I'm not as behind as I would be. Some other things I'm probably not thinking of. Pest service. Termite service. Schedule car service since I've driven it 5k miles in just over a week.
Got a great picture of a lighthouse out on the peninsula in Eerie, Pennsylvania yesterday morning for the five minutes the sun came through. It was chilly and windy yesterday...fall weather! Supposed to be 85 here in another two days. Ah, it was a great trip.
Food is a protein bag and scavenging. Will have to see about a bit of prep for the week. Bit tired. Think it's tea time. Cheers!

Good morning ~ I'm a fry stealer for sure, they are my crack. Glad to hear things aren't as bad as yesterday with mom. Yesterday was good, just easy house stuff - it was 99 degrees (we don't have AC) yuck. I need to get all the laundry done so I can pack and refill all the little bottles and containers in my toiletry case. I don't want to go to a conference right now - I have too much work to do, but it's my favorite group and it's right on the beach (no reason I can't get in 10,000 steps with a couple of beach walks a day). As a wise management team member said to me last week, all the work will all be here when you get back and no one died. Okay then.
Accountability - changed breakfast and added a couple Bloody marys, skipped lunch, changed dinner, snacks were the same. The end of the day I came out 977 calories but only 30 grams protein and up 2 pounds today. I'm 210 and deserve it. Okay, no more creative menu swaps, just stick to the plan.
B- coffee x 2, egg and SD toast
l - carne asada w/low carb tortilla
d- burger in a bowl
s- cottage cheese, carrots
931 cals / 78 protein
Walking the dogs at the park
Have a great day

Fellow fry stealer here. My mom (also formerly fat) used to call it a visit from the "Fry Fairy" when there were extra fries that fell out of the container into the bottom of the bag. I decided that if I ever become a ghost in the afterlife, I will not haunt people--I will be a Fry Fairy, and slip extras into people's bags :)

How cute is that? I really thought you were going to say that in the afterlife instead of haunting people, you would steal their fries, haha. I would.

Yes! Fries are my crack! It is a once in a blue moon occasion now ....
QOTD. Beach today and Tuesday, Monday doc appt and more hanging with my bestie who is visiting from Georgia. Rest of the week are work days.
Menu Up in the air, bestie has also had a band with conversion to RNY, a few months after my surgery. She is disappointed that she did not lose as much as me. But this is not her first rodeo. She gained every pound back the first time around although that was a slow process. She had band erosion and bad gerd, which she had before the band. She looks good now, so it was success as she did lose 100 pounds. We will keep each other on track for this visit!
