I am that meme!

QOTD- Never...

I tried to get my Halloween decorations done yesterday but it was so hot in the glassed in front porch I was sweating profusely and finally gave up. It's supposed to be 85 today. But back to rain by Monday. This will probably be the last time this year I can hang my clothes out, but maybe not you never know.

I have been having a terrible time focusing on work, I can find anything else to do. Check CNN, check OH, check ESPN...you name it anything rather than getting my work done. I gotta snap myself out of this...

Have a great day everyone!

Sometimes it just seems like everything else is much more important than what you really need to be doing. Hope you got the focus you needed, though.

G'morning all!

Late to the party. DH's friend has come in to town from So CA and they left early this morning for a surf session before DH leaves for work. So Luna's walk duties fell on me. Morning crowd at the park is different than my afternoon walk. First they are all surprised to see me, the antisocial member of the family, then when they talk to me they ask about DH like they are worried that I have gotten rid of him. DH has the patience of a saint and talks to everybody, while I put my AirPods in and just smile and nod my head as hello. Guess who is more popular?

View from the park in the morning with glassy ocean. If you zoom in you'll see a whale.

QOD - i had not thought of Roman Empire until this thing exploded on social media. Asked DH and he said almost never. Asked DS and he said 5 times a year. I have seen others asking what is the Roman Empire equivalent for women. Some people say murder mysteries, but one that resonated with me said my weight and what I eat. Mind blown.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Overnight rolled oats with blue berries min
  • Iced coffee w/PP, pumpkin protein cheesecake, soy crackers with hatch chili cheese spread
  • Repeat of Beef birria with cauliflower thins
  • E: 6.2 miles wog + weight

Happy Fri-yay!

Bonus whale - love it!

Somehow it's hard to think of you as antisocial. It is nice to plug into your own world, though!

Good morning all and Happy Friday,

My original post got erased as I posted. As much as I love this site, it needs an overhaul. I don't know if it's my android OS but pages take forever to load to post or reply, replies are occasionally lost when posting, and incorporating pictures is a fight with resizing necessary sometimes.

It's a crisp autumn day and it's finally Hoodie weather.

I'm hoping to carpe diem the next week so carpe sabborum. Tonight, I'm coming a crab celebration for Paula's great annual review. After dinner, I'm hoping to go to a unique opportunity of seeing New Orleans artist Shamarr Allen at a small bar.

Tomorrow, I've organized a bowling event for my club. I'm not expecting a big turnout.

QOTD- I don't think of the Roman Empire.

B: Tangerine.

L: Brisket chili.

D: Watermelon, feta, mint salad, crab legs(I get to break out my crab tools and utensils), acorn squash with truvia brown sugar and agave syrup.

Pic 1- Speed cameras are a joke and a ploy to line the city coffers. The old mayor made a sweetheart deal with LAZ parking to sell the parking meters. Now, it seems Chicago makes up for it with speed camera revenue. There are cameras in school zones that ticket at midnight, at the top of bottom of hills that are poorly marked, conflicting speed limit signs within 500ft of each other, etc.

I'm hoping I didn't get caught by one last time I was in Chicago. I swear the yellow lights last like 10 seconds, if that. It was red before I was able to get across the intersection. My cousin who was in the car with me said people have really complained about that because so many people have gotten tickets, and the light was green or yellow when they entered the intersection. She said she thinks they set the yellow lights to the shortest time possible so they could give out more tickets. Who knows - but maybe it's true. She said give it about two months - a $200 bill may show up in my mailbox - or not. I hope not.

It's not just you, or maybe it's an android problem in general.

Hope your celebration with Paula was great!

QJB- how long does it take to make 24 batches of dough. I can't even imagine what that must cost with the price of eggs, butter and other ingredients! As always are cookies are so awesomely beautiful and creative. Very professional. Those look like they are for a wedding.

DD and I went to the symphony of Dance show last evening. Such maxing dancers. At intermission the fire alarms went off. No body moved to leave (except one girl who was panicked by the situation). Apparently they actually wanted us to evacuate the building! I didn't smell smoke or see any indication of a fire but the fire department did come. Not sure what the deal was.

the last several days my stomach has been a little off. I thought it may be the different lettuces that I used. However, DH also has had some issues ( he actually threw up almost all of the night 2 nights ago). I thought he was better but he said his stomach is still not 100%. Today some mild nausea for me and occasionally some stomach cramps. I am doing just clear liquids today hoping to calm things down. Crossing my fingers. No exercise today since food and fluids are limited.

I am hoping to work on my garden tomorrow. I need to dig up the remaining vegetables, pull out the weeds, chop down the plants (chop and drop as fertilizer for next year), maybe also prune back some of the fruit bushes. Sunday. DD will get her senior pictures taken.

Accountability: good.

meals and exercise as above.

Have a great weekend.
