It can be so hard to change the status quo. During my last significant management stint I used to ask people in departments why we did xyz. My favorite answer was that we'd always done it that way for the past 20 years. Well, is there a better way? What would you change?

Good morning gang. I love this time of year. Cooler, but not cold. Everything here is still green. It's just lovely.
I've got leftover pizza for lunch today. That's always a good day. We go to this place that opened in 1939 and has been in the same building ever since. It's comforting.
QOTD: i'll answer with a picture. This is an excellent book, by one of my favorite writers. If you don't already have it, I highly recommend it. It is, sadly, not available in an audiobook version.
