You need to post photos of the Mosaics he entered in the competition. We would all love to see them,

Mornin' All!

I think I may have forgotten to check in yesterday - whoops! Lots going on. My MIL was moved over to a nursing home yesterday as a rehabber (so...temporary, at least for now). The good thing is, it's two blocks from our house! Super convenient! And in other news, I got an email last night from my art history professor at the Milwaukee campus wondering why I haven't turned in my assignment and giving me a couple more days to do it. Ah...because I'm an auditor? I don't know if she just forgot, or if the registrar's office accidentally enrolled me in the class as a regular student rather than an auditor (in the past we've enrolled ourselves (after securing permission from the professor to audit), but this semester the registrar's office does all the enrolling for us). Other than that, the only thing I can think of is that she's never dealt with an auditor before and doesn't know what they are - and aren't - supposed to do, but even if she hadn't, she has a PhD and has taught before - you'd think she'd know how auditing works. Oh well - we'll see how she responds. So far, nothing. I told her I'd be glad to do the assignments if she'd like me to, although that seems sort of odd since I wouldn't be getting a grade for it. So why bother putting in the work if you're getting nothing for it?

after two days of prepping our driveway, the cement is supposed to be poured today. Truck still isn't here, but I can't imagine that would take more than half a day. So maybe they're at another job this morning. I think I might bike to class today if it's not too much of a hassle getting my bike out the back door of the garage (I have to lug it up a few steps and down a narrow (but short) passage). We'll see. It'll be the last warm day for awhile, so it'd be nice to get a ride in (plus..it's exercise!)

QOTD? no particular traditions, although fall is when I start eating apples, pumpkin, winter squash, and sweet potatoes again..

coffee with half & half

protein pancakes topped with plain skyr and fruit

protein shake (that's a maybe)

taco filling topped with grilled veggies, plain yogurt, and salsa

protein pumpkin muffin (maybe..)

salad with some kind of protein (maybe Ratio yogurt (on the side, of course..))

have a good day, all!

Good morning everybody!

I'm discreetly trying to find out what time the leadership team is heading to the airport so that I can sneak out the door right after them.

Dinner ended at about 9:00, I got home at10:30 and right back on the train this morning. But tomorrow I am off and we go down to Birmingham for Parents weekend.

From here on in, I will use the term "Rooftop Storage Accessory " so as not to cause undue panic.

QOTD: I like to get those pumpkin carving kits with the little saws and patterns. Although they usually get eaten by the squirrels.

Breakfast: bagel

lunch: catered

dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Strangely enough none of my zucchini plants produced a single vegetable! However, my cucumber plants have done really well. This has been great since I use about 4-5 cucumbers each week in my salads. It does seem like the lemon cucumbers have a large amount of seeds in them so you lose about 1/2 of the vegetable after scooping them out. I need to get outside and pull my carrots...
