Great observations and intuition on eating. Making changes sustainable is key (as we all know on this site ). Good for you! I am excited to see your progress as you fine tune your eating plan.

I remember the nutritionist telling me to eat more if I wanted to lose weight and I looked at her like she was crazy. There can be something to that logic!

Nectars Caribbean Cooler what is this? Wow after all these years and you have kept all the weight off. We all want to know your secret. I yo-yo about 10lbs each way. Next thing I see is me being up 30 from my lowest. Any advice would be great.

Nectar protein is made by a company Syntrex. You can buy it on Amazon or go to Vitamin Shoppe. I mix Greek yogurt along with Almond milk . It's awesome. I've been using it since day 1.

My secrets.

I keep my metabolism going by my water intake. The first 5 years I was a gym rat. Now I walk at least 2 miles a day.

I give myself one favorite food a week. Low in fat just something I really love.

Keep my protein no less than 90 grams .

I never plateaued. Thank goodness. I lost weight quick. I don't know why . But I eat clean and love veggies. Raw or steamed.

I used a couple of Nectar flavors that first year. All the other powders I tried were gross, unless you mixed them with milk. I loved the Syntrax Nectar Lemonade and Fruit Punch. Because they mixed with water, they were very low calorie, and delicious.

My to do list has dates and times and that really helps me to stay on track. It is great to put the to do list aside and go and have breakfast and shop and see a movie. Those are the memories that you treasure when you get old.

Sometimes my husband and I would just get in the car and drive somewhere different, have lunch, explore different stores or parks. Nothing planned but ended up being some of the best memories now.

Good morning gang. We're supposed to hit 80 degrees again today, but probably for the last time until spring. I have a bunch of odds and ends to do today. Nothing remotely exciting.

I noticed the movie theater has oreo flavored gourmet popcorn. I was really tempted. My brain will always belong to a big fat guy.

QOTD. I don't have "recipes" for meals. Heating ham, cooking a burger, chicken, steak, just requires attention to cooking time. There are no ingredients. As for baking, I can make fudge and chocolate chip cookies in my sleep. I probably have.
