When I worked 4/10s, I would take my day off as Wednesday and go to the movies. I was in my 20s and it was me and all the old people and it was awesome!

??????!!!!!! 95 percent of my movie going was always during the week. I pretty much always worked nights, so matinee were perfect. No crowds, cheap tickets. If I woke up early I could sometimes catch a movie before picking my daughter up after school. I never slept much, but it was fun.

QJB-I have heard that the Haunting in Venice was a good movie. Perhaps I will put that on my must-see list. I haven't been to a movie in a couple of weeks. Kinda getting the itch to see something. I do have the monthly mystery movie (unknown movie for $5/ticket) next week with my friend. Movie popcorn is so good, but I have only had it a couple of times since surgery.

Not much to report about yesterday. This week when I made my salads, I changed up my ingredients for my salad because the store I went to didn't have the Power Green Lettuce combo (baby red chard, baby spinach, and baby kale). So, I purchased spinach (not baby) and chopped kale (also not baby). Uh, the "adult" kale is too coarse, thick, requires excess chewing, and strong tasting. I have started pulling out the adult kale from my salads I made on Monday. The spinach is good. I guess lesson learned that adult kale is not the same as baby kale . Today is office and the usual paperwork.

QOTD: There is a real yummy Creamy Wild Rice and Chicken soup I remember. Most things I use a recipe as a base if I am cooking. Since I don't do a whole lot of cooking anymore, I purge that data to make space on the hard drive for other stuff!

Accountability: extra sf chocolate, otherwise on track

usual meals, no chai tea latte today

I can't figure out popcorn. I know it's light and airy. But I can eat a giant mound of it.

Fact the biggest market of Kale prior to someone cooking it an eating it one day was purchased by Pizza Hut to cover the Salad bar Ice. It was always thrown away most times.

Thrown away, like this poor little kale garnish that just came with my omelet.

Kale is a tough veggie to tackle...pun intended. Too bad it's so good for you.
