Good Morning Gang. Happy Hump Day!
Yesterday was a good one! It was not the day I planned, but good nonetheless. After we came back from breakfast/wood store I worked hard all morning on job application stuff, then had a check in with my mentor guy at 1:30. The call was quick, so that gave us just the right amount of time to hop in the car and go to the movie we had tried to see last week. We saw the Agatha Christie flick, A Haunting in Venice based on her book: Hallowe'en Party. It was perfect timing because I had just finished a historical fiction book about Agatha?s own 2 week still yet unexplained disappearance, and this movie had a character who seemed to be based on Agatha, herself (that book was called The Mystery Mrs. Christie and I recommend it for a fun read). Anyway, the movie was great. A lot more jump scares than a typical Agatha book, but not over the top and the Venice setting was spectacular to look at.
Lots to do today! I actually made myself a to-do list that has times on it to ensure I get through it all today.
QOTD: What recipes do you know by heart? I used to know more, but now I think my only two are my cookie recipe and and royal icing recipe.
Accountability: Exactly as planned, but I subbed out lunch for some movie popcorn.

Good morning everyone! QJB, glad y'all had a good day!
Not sure what's planned for the day. Last night the meth head neighbor got drunks, we think, and backed his van down the street a bit in front of our house. He then proceeded to yell obscenities at us. He then gunned his van down the street to who knows where. My mom was sitting playing games on her iPad and had the tv on in the background. I was in my room asleep but had gotten up like 20 minutes after that for a bit. We're not sure what if anything we'll do about it. When he came back my mom said he had to have his gf help him walk to the door he was so drunk.
I think my mom is wanting to run to Walmart to get some plastic cups to try and make a Christmas light ball. I'm having some mouth pain from a sinus infection. I had a root from a tooth that had went up into my sinus cavity. After it was pulled it never healed up. Now, every time I have a sinus infection it hurts like heck. Hopefully it won't last long this time.
QOTD: fudge, I have made so much fudge I don't even have to have a candy thermometer to do it. I've decided not to make ANY this year. None of us need it. While it isn't my favorite thing to eat I usually have about 2 pieces. I also make an egg custard pie every year for my brothers birthday. Oh and cake frosting.
food is unknown besides breakfast. Which is 2 hard boiled eggs, cheese and coffee x2.
I really need to get my **** together.
Mel
Sorry to hear about the neighbors. Have you spoken with other neighbors about these people? I would keep my distance, but not be afraid to call authorities, especially when they are behind the wheel. Tough to have to deal with people like that!

Good morning menu crew!
Hello from Bangor, Maine! Talk about a drive. Yesterday was a great day. I saw sugar shacks, orchards, friends, and more! There was a tea shop I'd love to have in town and I spent over an hour there. Coffee happened, and two types of cider donuts, and wonderful chocolate samples. Let's just leave it as, what happens in Vermont stays in Vermont.
Today I'll meander around the coast since I'm only 40-something miles from Bar Harbor. I might stop by the first B&B I ever stayed at, back in 2003 or so. The Inn at Bay Ledge. They're still open and doing well. Have stayed there a couple of times since. If anyone has recommendations for where to get great New England clam chowder, hit me!
Also, I seem to have brought the hot weather with me, though it's supposed to cool down significantly in a couple of days. Go figure.
QOTD- Biscuits from when I was a kid. Most other recipes are a bit of this and that. Baking is more science...cooking is more art, to me.
Pics are from Morse farm.
Food is a protein bag, seafood, TBD.
Cheers!

I love Maine! I think that whatever you choose for a dining experience will be wonderful! Chowdah!

I love Maine, too! There's a chowder house in my future for today before leaving the state. The weather is beautiful.

Good morning and happy Wednesday!
Glad you enjoyed the movie and hope your busy busy day goes well.
I'm in pretty good shape on all my need to get dones so that makes me happy as I go into a marathon day of meetings. I need to be more deliberate about canceling things when I am taking a few days off vs cramming them all into the days that I have left, I think.
QOTD - define know. I am not a recipe follower so once I've made something once, I stop using the recipe and adjust from there so basically I know all my recipes by heart because I just make stuff up.
I did finally hit my active minutes goal yesterday, first time in a week, and go figure, it gave me a lower goal for today! I have to be disciplined today and tomorrow because I don't know how much time I'll have for exercise Friday to Tuesday.
menu
coffee plus half and half X3
pb toast with orange marmalade

italian sausage
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
