It's very rare to see salt used here for just that reason. I have had a bag of salt for almost 5 years now and it only gets used as a last resort. You want to see me cranky, drive on my drive way before I shovel and make the ice tracks that have forced the salt usage, lol. We don't salt our highways either - sand and mag chloride mostly.

They have ice melting chemical that won't harm concrete, and are also safe for pet's feet. But they are far too pricey to use for anything other than a walkway or steps.

Our driveway is the same size! I was estimating this price range, so will let you know. I think I am going to get quotes now for a spring/early summer install.

I know they shut down for winter when it gets cold enough, but im not sure when that is, and when they start up again. The asphalt plants shut down, so the paving outfits have to as well. And a couple of the estimators that came out to quote prices definitely spend at least a few months in winter on a beach somewhere.

that's cheap. But we're doing concrete (everyone seems to get concrete driveways around here). I thought maybe yours was narrower, too (we have a two-car garage) - but no - yours looks like you may have a two-car garage as well (??). Hmmm...

It's a one car garage, but it's wide enough for two cars side-by-side.

Good morning ~ It's odd to hear of places closing for the season since that doesn't happen here. Hopefully you make it there and have a wonderful lunch. I hear you on driving in the dark, my eyes are just too sensitive to light and I'm blinded. Drive safe. I worked my ass off yesterday and tweaked the hell out of my back. Lots of Tylenol and many back rubs from Rob later, it's still a mess. I would kill for a 90 minute deep tissue massage right now - anything to make it go away. I just may schedule a spa day for myself, get that massage then sit by the pool for the rest of the day and read - sounds so dreamy! I was able to get to a good point yesterday with my deadline, just a few more lose ends to tie up then I can collapse with a clear conscience this weekend. Meeting kiddo for lunch, then need to get the car smogged. I've never had to smog this car, it's 8 years old and I didn't catch it on the renewal so I just paid the fees. They had to send me a 'duh' letter. Weekend is the usual - chill, dog walks. errands, football, work....

QOTD - I went just to say that I went and to not have regrets but I had a good time. I went with a good guy friend (who is now married to one of my bffs) and doubled with my BFF. My dress was light pink with the puffiest off the shoulder sleeves. There was a mini before party in the parking lot of the Northampton Country Club taking shots of who knows what and passing a joint. Prom was fun seeing everyone dressed up, but the after party was the best. It was at the meadows (remote farm land on the Connecticut river) bon fire and keg, tons of kids. That was the highlight of the night.

B- coffee x2, cottage cheese, tomatoes

l- TBD maybe Jersey Mike's sub in a tub

d- Butternut squash w/something - TBD

s - jello w/whip

20 minutes of yoga though I forgot to turn off my watch and it says 53 minutes, lol.

Have a great weekend!

Many back rubs from Rob implies that he didn?t crash and sleep for hours following the denouement of the first back rub. Newlyweds.

I will have to ask Marilyn about the Meadows.
