What's on your Thursday Menu?
Many bariatric surgical clinics are using appetite suppressant medications (Ozempic, phentermine, other) to assist with regain or even early in the honeymoon phase to assist patients with weight loss. I say go for it. If you need a boost take the help that is available to you. Good for you for asking for help.

I actually see it as a sign of strength when somebody asks for help. You are not putting your head in the sand and thinking you can fix it. You are asking for help, good for you.
I don't know how it's in your area, but around me ozempic is like gold, very hard to find and long waits.

I was on Ozempic for a bit over a year. By the end of my usage of it I got really sick from it. I think it was a perfect storm kind of event for me. A few things combined with that and I then had to stop taking it. It's unfortunate because I have a full box of 2.0 in my fridge. I just seem to react to everything these days. It's done a lot of good for a lot of people.

This is the hardest thing I have ever done. I thought after the surgery it would be much easier and I was so wrong. Before gain lose gain lose it was what it was. Now I did so much to get here and want to keep it off. A little jump in the scale kills me then on the other hand not having that glass of bourbon for the sake of weight kills me too. We will battle till our dying breath. I am just lucky we all found each other because no one else would ever understand the struggles. You know you can do it. We are all cheering for you.

I replied this morning and see the computer ate my answer. As you get older, your pancreas wears out more and you can need medicine to help control the A1C. It is not a failure it is just accepting what the body is doing. Diabetes will always be a dance between food intake, exercise and just how well the pancreas is working and how well your body is responding to the amount of insulin that is still produced.

Good Morning! Checking in from brisk San Jose on this fine day. I can add slept in a tent for a concert to my list of accomplishments. Currently we are numbers 58 and 59 with the fan wrist bands which hopefully leads to a good spot when the venue starts to allow the line up for their wrist bands. Don't ask as I still don't totally get the process but I know we will be waiting at least 3 hours right now and then back again later.
For my menu: I've had my Starbucks latte and have eggbites for a little later and that's all I know!
I don't think I'll have any official exercise but there will be walking for sure.
Have a great day!
