I don't think getting medical help is bad or the easy way out. My clinic prescribes meds if people have a regain and are really struggling to lose it. Sometimes you just need that additional boost to get you going again. And having regain after a weight loss - even among people who've never had WLS - is extremely common - expected, really. Maintaining your weight after a loss is a lifelong struggle for a lot of people - most, probably. So don't be down on yourself - or feel bad about potentially having to turn to a drug to help.

In my opinion, there is nothing to feel weak about. Think of how far you've come and remember you don't have to look back and take it one day at a time. This is your journey and you do what works for you. Keep your head held high.

Hi Mike:

I started on Ozempic about three years ago, but between titration and shortages didn't start 2.0 until last April. It has knocked my sugar down, but I would like to be more around that 5.7 as well.

Last winter I was on Glipizide, which caused me to gain weight quickly. Don't take that.

I didn't start losing until I was on 1.0. I haven't had side effects. When I went from 1.0 to 2.0, I lost 5 percent of my body weight quickly. It is kind of indiscriminate, you will lose some muscle also. I'm not as strong as I was a year ago.

Keeping stocked with pens is kind of a pain with the shortages.

Thank you Jim!!!! I really appreciate the feedback. I need to get to the point where I have the energy to get back to exrecise regularly. I really appreciate your feedback and sharing your journey.

My goal from the time I had VSG was to remain medication free, I need to be realistic that time and genetics will always dictate....
