Good Morning Gang and Happy Jr. Friday! What's the happs?

I had a beautifully productive day yesterday. I knocked a billion things off my to-do list for both cookies and job hunting and I felt good about it. I'm hoping to do the same today! On the down side, I could not fall asleep. That is incredibly rare for me. I often fall asleep quickly but then can't stay asleep, but not falling asleep is the worst. I ended up with 3ish choppy hours.

Small update on our local mystery. Two guys who looked they were casing the house yesterday (made me a little nervous) finally went inside and emptied out some random furniture pieces and piled it up in the car port. So it's either about to be renovated, or maybe this is the first step before it goes on the market?

QOTD: Do you switch up your primary care doctor periodically or have you stuck with the same one? I have stuck with the same doc for decades, despite the fact that I don't think she is fantastic and, since I've moved here, she is more than an hour away. But the practice was very nice, and every type of doctor was in the same building so I never had to wait to see someone. But, I think now that I am getting new health insurance (soon, I hope), I am going to make the switch. Researching new docs is one of the things on today's to-do list.

Accountability: Good start, but then Grim and his daughter invited me out to an unexpected dinner so I ended up with higher calories.

When I was a kid, I was convinced that at some point I would be stuck in a cave-in at an abandoned mine shaft.

When I was young I also thought there would be gunfights on main Street. So, I'm half right.

Good mornin everyone!

I have had a miserable night. Very little sleep, severe leg and foot cramps...oh and a severe bout of coughing. I have no clue what that was about. I took some Benadryl out of desperation and it did absolutely nothing. I'm feeling rather ****ty. Itchiness from hell too. You'd think the Benadryl would of at least help with that, even my eyelids are itchy lol. My muscle relaxers ain't doing a thing for me. They are the kind you have to stand up to undo the cramp.

Not sure what all my mom has planned for the day. I know we're going to my aunts house for a bit. Oh and my mom wants to pick up some cold brew packets from world market.

Going back the the QOTD from yesterday. Our meth cooking neighbors has something up with them. He's been spending the night away from home whil the witches mother is staying the night. Just now the mother drove the girls car home from somewhere. I hope they're in trouble and or going to prison. We need this to stop and the cops in my town are worthless. Our side of town is so neglected by all aspects of the city. So sick of it. We can't afford to move and live somewhere else for the price we do here.

QOTD: I've had 3 primary care docs my whole life. My favorite had to retire due to kidney disease(he needed a transplant, he was the nicest doctor I've ever knows and usually found me psych med samples so I could take them...didn't have insurance the ). I had a short stint with the 2nd, she was ok and is still my moms pcp. I've been seeing my current pcp for 8 or 9 years. I like him a lot too, I just wish he was a little more aggressive in treat my diabetes.

Food is unplanned again but I am going to make soup some time today. I'm thinking of getting a smoked turkey leg to cook in it. Thinking a rather simple mostly veggie soup. I may add hamburger or a rotisserie chicken breast from the freezer.

have a great day everyone!

I have had the same primary for more than 30 years. My chart is about a foot thick. He office is five minutes from my house, does not keep me waiting for very long, and finds a specialist for me when one is needed. When I started with him we were both pretty young and now have grown older together. He believes in natural treatments as much as possible and will advise things like eu*****ea or Walmart vitamins instead of prescription medicine. I will probably never leave him unless he retires. The same with my dentist. I dread having to look for a new one.

If you are going to switch, do plenty of research. Good luck with your quest.

Good morning ~ That meme, ha! I need to get going so a quick one today. I couldn't keep my eyes open so I was in bed before 8pm and slept straight through to 4am. Busy work day, rinse and repeat. Looking forward to the weekend as always.

QOTD - No, I don't have a PCP. We have a serious doctor shortage and since my doc went $2000 per year concierge 2 years ago, I have been at the mercy of an impersonal clinic of rotating docs. But I get what I need done there and from my other providers like my GYN and WLC. Speaking of which, I need to reschedule WLC 6 mo appt and dental cleaning since I had to put both off due to conflicts.

B- coffee, x 2, 1/2 english muffin w/PB

l - chicken w/blue cheese and buffalo sauce, celery

d- leftover tacos stuff - i will have a taco innards in a bowl

s- SF fudgesicle

30 minute yoga done - might throw in a mental health walk at lunch

Have a great day!

Good morning and yay Thursday! I am not just allergic to Florida because I am home and still not feeling great. The lady next to me on the first of my flights home (who talked the entire 3 hours) gave me some doTERRA cough drops and they helped a bit. I had my covid and flu vaccinations scheduled for this afternoon but moved them to next week, I've never had a reaction but figure you probably shouldn't get them when you are not feeling great.

QOTD - I like my PCP now but I have definitely changed due to moves, to incompatibility. Mine now is probably approaching retirement and I will not love finding a new one.

I do find it strange how the Bermuda Triangle was such a source of mystery back in the day and now....crickets.

I had a 5 am meeting so I have had all my coffee allotment, will probably have some hot tea next. I did a workout of sorts.....I just wasn't feeling it but it was good to be back on the rower and I am at 550 miles for the year which will be a nice number to start October at so I'll do non rower things tomorrow and Saturday.

No idea on food, maybe some soup or eggs.

Have a terrific Thursday.

Good morning JB and menu folks. I have the opposite problem, I sleep well for 5 1/2 - 6 hours and then wake up and toss and turn for a couple hours. ( And try not to wake Joddie...LOL)

I have an appointment today with my primary - mt a1c last fall was 7, I talked my doc into allowing me to get it under control and she agreed, I dropped it to 5.7 in March. Things were going well in March. I was going to receive a raise, was going on a 2 week vacation. The raise did not come through ( I received it on 09/01) and after vacation I was not able to restart. I gained the weight back. I have food logs from as far back as 2014 and weight as well. I have tried multiple approaches and am not able to get myself started in the right direction. We did not hike last year due to my knee injury and we have yet to hike this year. I am going to ask my Dr to prescribe ozempic. Short term, to help me get myself under control. I have always been very confident that I could do this myself and my confidence is gone. I feel like I am taking the easy route by asking, weak.

*** Really looking for some feedback on the Ozempic request. ( My appointment is at 1 pm)

QOTD - My long time primary retired at the start of the pandemic, there was a high turnover at that office, I changed providers 2 years ago and really like my primary and the office.

B - premier Protein

L- Premier Protein

S - cukes and ranch

D - Cauliflower slims Pizzas.

E - mowing the lawn.
