Well, you will be rummaging through your underwear drawer to figure out what ones to wear tomorrow.

Good morning! Yes on the sleep, QJB! That is two nights in a row. Our room is chilly and I broke out and set up my electric blanket. Jim, appliance settings are important! At this time of year, the electric blanket is on 3 and I need to go in a half hour early and start it on preheat. When I slide into bed it's like I'm sliding in to my own cushy, perfectly toasty bagel. LOL. I slept 7 hours straight and dozed for another 2. Started my morning with black dog snuggling next to me and begging for belly rubs. And then the scale was down another few ounces inching me towards my goal for October 1. Nothing is going to make this day be a bad one.

My accountability yesterday was great. I ended up ordering two street size tacos at the restaurant. One carnitas, one quesobirria. I took one bite of the quesobirria and it was absolutely divine. I set it down, picked up my fork and ate the insides of the carnitas and I am SO looking forward to my leftover quesobirria taco. But that has to happen tomorrow as today is busy. Today includes a stretch yoga video, lunch with girlfriends, book club, I plan on a walk late this afternoon and lots of water. Success on the scale is certainly keeping me focused on good food choices and moving my body. Even adding chocolate bites last night I was able to stay under my daily calorie goal.

My own question-- Was there a costume party at the OH conference and did you girls win? Are there any photos????

QoTD: Not really. I have some lovely antiques but I didn't love the process of shopping for them and don't like the smell of antique and vintage stores.

Food today:

B: ohhhhh maybe i could eat my taco. Meat, cheese and a little corn tortilla. Sounds like a breakfast to me!

L: out with friends. Limited options at this place, so I think salad with protein and dressing on the side

D: chicken thighs and baked potato. I punted on this last night to left overs, so I need to get this cooked up.

Peace Everybody!

I guess I need to try this type of taco. I don't even know what quesobirria is (queso=cheese?, birria=??). I will look into it.

G'morning all!

Uh oh, QJB, hopefully you didn't catch anything while you were waiting for you mom. Rest up and drink a ton of fluids.

Our Indian summer is here and I can't be happier. We finally have sun, the fog is gone and the temps during the day creep towards 70. We have a nice deck that gets a lot of sun, sometimes I use it just to warm up my muscles after a hard wog. Luna and I lay on the deck and the warmth of the wood floor warms up my achy muscles, almost like a hot tub but on dry land.

QOD - not that into it, to be honest. If a friend asks me to go with her I'll do it, but on my own I'm not that into antiquing, shopping or browsing. When I go shopping I go for a specific thing, I'm not one of those who says let's go look around and see what we want, while antiquing requires a lot of "let's see what's out there." DD was always frustrated with me when she had to rely on me for going to the mall. She had to make a map and tell me exactly what stores she wanted to go to and for what items. No diddle daddling.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee
  • Overnight oats with pumpkin protein
  • Protein pudding, epic chicken, quest chips
  • Rotisserie chicken, cucumber/tomato/pecorino salad
  • E: Weights + HIIT

Happy hump day!

I just looked it up and diddle daddle and dilly dally are separate phrases, although close in meaning. Dilly dally involves making oneself late.

I pick up certain expressions just because somebody around me uses it without knowing the full meaning. I had always heard it from DH.
