What's on your Monday Menu?

Darned sugar-free vanilla cake. I'm sorry it got you. There was definitely some kind of alternative sweetener in it...can never tell them apart, just that there's an aftertaste.

QOTD- I am looking for answers to this question, so far nothing seems to be working.
The lawn guys came and cleared out so much, I am so happy when I look out the window. Now I just need to find some plants to fill in the emptiness. But I'm enjoying how neat and clean it is. Best money I ever spent. From now on they will come weekly so the leaves should not be an issue this year. The grass is still dormant, call it looking dead but at the price of water I'm not willing to water it. I would like to use more native drought resistant plants. My next door neighbor has astro turf in their backyard so they are constantly leaf blowing.
Both my teams won, the Seahawks just about gave me a heart attack. Oregon plays Colorado this week, they are favored but you never know. I'm not a fan of Colorado's coach, but we'll see how it goes.
I need to get back to work. Have a great day everyone.

G'morning all!
Couple of Dr appts today, and Miss Luna has a groomer appt. I have said this in the past I am very jealous that she has somebody coming to our house and grooming her while I need to go to a salon. I told the mobile grooming lady she should give a two for one deal to the humans who want to get their hair done along their pet. =)
I am going back to ortho dr for him to explain the MRI and decide what shoulder surgery I need. I am just praying for not too long recovery time. I also have to go to the optometrist because my laziness in not taking my contacts off regularly might have created an infection. I say might because I think it's just a passing redness but DH is appalled about my habit of not taking my contacts off every night and thinks I have ruined my eye. He is so exaggerated. For the last week or so I've been wearing glasses and it's been weird because I'm not used to them.
QOD - oh QJB, it ebbs and flows. I can be diligent for a couple of months then I get tired, because I truly believe being always on guard is tiring. I take a couple of days and sometimes even a week off from logging my food and then I get back to it. Same with exercise, I get tired of being sore all the time and take a rest. I also look at my weight on MFP and compare it to the year before. If it's not that much change I give myself grace. I think that's the important thing, we aim for perfection and we fall short then we beat ourselves up. We need to work hard but give ourselves grace.
My meals yesterday:
- Coffee & built bar
- Cauliflower rice and sesame ginger chicken crumbles
- Pumpkin muffin (the real thing, not the healthy one)
- Protein smoothie
- E: Rest day
Happy start of the week.

Being on guard all the time is EXHAUSTING. I always suggested that new postops should get the weight off as fast as they can, because when your guard eventually drops, it gets vastly harder.
I'm convinced the "honeymoon period" of weight loss has nothing to do with metabolism and such. It's between our ears.

I have this internal dialogue running through my head at all times.
- don't eat this
- if you eat it then you'll be fat again
- be good, this icecream is gonna kill you
- Why are you going down this aisle? The cookies have not become low carb
- You survived today and didn't veer off, good job
- what the heck were you thinking eating that?
It is exhausting having these convos running in your head at all times. But as I always say I'd rather have these convos than having given up and say the heck with it. Daily struggle!

Most of it is mental. Some of it is also physical and just has to do with our individual body's hormones and our inherited genes. I decided long ago that I am on as diet for life. I can slack off on what I eat for a bit, but I never slack off from daily weighing. When the scale hits as panic number, I am done with slacking off.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
My treadmill has dust on it right now. I am struggling with exercise. I woke up Friday and they scale said 155. I was so happy. However, I drank my dinner Thursday night, so it was only dehydration looking at me. Darn. The wedding was beautiful. I only took pictures of the bride and groom. Not one photo of me and Ron. sorry. Here is a pick of the cookies I made though. Nope not one of the cookie table
QOTD: Being here is the only thing that helps and posting my weight every day. If I do not weigh and post, I do not feel accountable. Some post on here and do not update their weight. Others post here *****ally struggle and when given advise say they know what they are doing they don't need our help. Well, when you hit the high side of you weight that you said you would never hit maybe you should take some advice. I welcome all advise. It never hurts to be reminded of what we are missing.
