Good morning and yay Friday! We had that same thing happen on the main road I use to get to the office a few years ago...it was closed for a long time while they did the structural reassessments and acquired a lot more dirt. Fortunately the other side was fine so they had a good workaround but it was strange to look at the other side and see the road shifting as they worked on it. I think about it frequently on my drive to work, lol. Have fun with your cookout and I hope the rain holds off.

QOTD - take it or leave it; I don't dislike candy corn but it's not good enough to waste the calories. If it's chocolate or even a butterscotch hard candy, those would be worth it. Someone in our office has a bowl of free range non-wrapped candy corn on their desk. Not touching that, I see too many people who still haven't learned to wash their hands leaving the bathroom.

Busy day today with a lot of work stuff to get through, then some after work errands. My Fitbit still isn't telling me to take a rest day, I think it's broken but I might take one anyway. I am a rebel.

My pictures today are a couple of funnies and some pictures from my yard. Many people think that xeriscape is just stark and rock with no flowers but I focused on native plants/drought resistant plants and have lots of pretty blooms throughout the year.

Those look like Marguerite daisies - one of my favs! I think I'm #2 duck, headed for #3 hazard!

They grew so fast, I was actually worried they were a weed. But then when the purple flower came out, I was like "even if it's a weird, they are my flowers now and I love them"

My next door neighbor is a Landscape architect with a gorgeous yard. She says if you love it, it's not a weed.

I am going to happily apply her philosophy!!
