What's on your Thursday Menu?
Putting a beloved dog down due to health or age is one of the hardest things. You and Paula have my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy.

QOTD- Only if it is a prepared speech. I was on the speech team in college and made it to Nationals and was a finalist. But I started out terrified of public speaking, so if I could do it anyone can.
My computer ate my post yesterday, it restarted before I could complete it. Not that anyone missed anything. Other than I do re-read books, recently the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. They are still good. My criteria for keeping books when I moved to Maui was it is something I would read again. But I read so much that sometimes I start a book and go oh yeah I know this one, and quit. But now I hardly ever buy books, I use the library and rarely if it is something I want I'll buy it for my tablet. There are also a ton of free e-books out there.
Nothing exciting here, but work is actually going pretty well. I got 2 of my projects approved in one day. And another one yesterday. So things are moving, I have one that is a problem child but hopefully I can get some direction on it and price it so high that it will never get built.
My Mom got her meds sorted and had a Dr appointment yesterday so hopefully all is well for awhile. And a tip here if your cursor goes away try replacing the batteries in the mouse...now she is good.
I get my hair and nails done this afternoon, so I have that to look forward to.
Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
I like that you are writing a novel. What character will resemble me? You know I am not a big reader, but I am promising when published and bound, and you sign me my own special copy, that I will purchase, I will read it. And you can brag all you want about your yummy cookies. We know you do nothing half assed.
Today started out with a 2-stick blood draw. I hate when they can't get it in the first stab. I drank tons of water too. Today is the kickoff to my brother campaign. He is expecting 400 or so for a meet the candidate party and we are serving ravioli, sausage and meatball. It starts at 4 but I could not take time away from work since I am off tomorrow for the wedding. I do have on my favorite pants today. These are a pair that I did not buy second hand. When I bought them, I got a size 8 and they actually were a little loose. Fast forward to the gain part and they were a little tight. So heartbreaking. Today I am happy to say not to tight and not loose at all but maybe in the next few weeks. I made it this far so we shall see.
QOTD: Even when I am prepared, I get the jitters. But I can handle small groups like a support group or something like that.
Accountability: I finally had a small pouch day. I never get those anymore, so it was very welcome.
