What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Good Morning! It's Friday! Let's make it a great one.
I had a good day yesterday. The networking meeting was great. He offered to take me under his wing and mentor me through the job search process which is so far above and beyond anything I expected from the meeting. Yay! And the Improv class was fun too. I really thought we were going to be sitting in the audience but it turned out that we were just sort of sitting in on the class and it was very interactive to the point that we sat in on a sketch writing session. It was fun!
I am teaching a very big class on Sunday, and tomorrow we are going to CT for the day. We're ending the day by going to see the Hartford Yard Goats minor league team. I am definitely going to need a t-shirt :)
^^I DID NOT GET THIS!^^
QOTD: After yesterday's tangent about going to school uphill both ways... how did you get to school? I was a walker until High School. It was about 1/2 mile and a whole gang of us from the neighborhood walked together. I generally remember it being fun, but there were definitely some days with huge snowdrifts to navigate.
Ahhh, I really don't have a menu plan. I really need to clean out the fridge and see what I have.

Good mornin everyone! How can it be that we are already a week into September?
No big plans for the day. Yesterday we had to call a plumber to snake out our kitchen sink. He was super nice and had been here before. We call our house the Alfred Garrett house of horrors. My grandpa thought he'd love forever and did things in interesting way...to say the least. That was almost 170 bucks we hadn't planned on spending,
Pain is just so bad the past few day. I'm so over it. We got up to 105° yesterday. Yuck! Good news is that Sunday we're supposed to get a cold front. A week of temps in the 70's and low 80's. I'm 100% down with that.
QOTD: I was a walk up until HS too. My elementary school was about 5 blocks away. My middle school was about 3/4 of a mile one way. My HS was about 18 miles away so walking was impossible. I hated school. I slipped through the cracks so badly.
food is oatmeal for breakfast, lunch and dinner I have no clue about,
my pics are Opal and another pendant made with larvakite/Norway moonstone. The picture doesn't do the stones justice! Also my tye dye sheet again.

Opal is too cute.
DH's grandfather also did home maintenance and remodeling in unique ways. If he wanted a basement under the house, he rounded up all the kids and dug one under the existing house. A bigger garage? Cut the second story off the existing garage and set it next to the garage. Wala-double the garage. Not to mention the interesting plumbing and electrical work he did. It is amazing the house didn't fall apart, burn down, or have some other catastrophic event.
Hope your weather cooperates and cools down.

Good morning and happy Friday! How exciting to find a mentor like that!!
Busy weekend ahead, I have about 8 weeks of work travel/people visiting/fun events ahead which is great but means I need to get some stuff done around the house, plus I have dinner with friends on Saturday, pilates in the park and brunch on Sunday. Will all be good though!
QOTD - I went to 12 schools between kindergarten and end of high school and probably used all the methods - walking, riding my bike, public bus, being driven/dropped off, school bus, rode with friends and drove myself. The school bus was probably the worst just because of how long it was - 6:15 to get to school by 8 for an 8:10 start; school was out at 3:12 and I'd get home about 4:30. I was very happy when my friends started getting their licenses and then when I could drive myself.
Yesterday, when I logged out of work, I had a grand total of 1 activity minute tracked on my Fitbit and my goal was 64....I impressed myself and focused and not only met the goal but exceeded it by rowing, pilates and boxing but I really hate having to do my whole workout in the afternoon like that. I am much happier when I can do some of it in the morning, so I'll be heading to the rower as soon as I finish this. I did finish the September rowing challenge so yay for that.
Menu today
coffee plus half and half X 2, maybe 3
skyr
maybe some oatmeal with nuts and raisins
not sure about dinner
Other than to workout on Tuesday I have not left the house so I don't have any new pictures this week so here are some things that made me laugh this week!
Have a fantastic Friday and wonderful weekend!
