Love the baked potato accessory. We had sheep, would shorn them for that day's sweater and pants, would ride them to school in the snow, had them for lunch, and bartered the rest of the meat for seeds. Walking home from school with the bones for stew was difficult.

You forgot that you walked up hill in both directions in 3 feet of snow! I don't remember having school closed for heat, but we have had closures for snow days when it is too treacherous to drive to school.

my school district was notorious for never closing for the weather (to the point that the news anchors would sometimes say "all districts except" my district were closed...and then came the day that we were snowed in at school and had to spend the night...teachers, students. Stray parents that decided they could get their kids, random people from the Highway...after that, they became slightly more aligned to the rest of the area's approach.

Was it a fun sleepover at school? Could be an adventure.

It was chaos, but at least after we were able to get out the next day, they gave us the next day off.

Good morning and happy Thursday! Dangerously close to the weekend...but not close enough, ugh.

QJB, I looked at your menu and I would have the meatballs and the beets or the antipasto. Enjoy your evening out!

Very busy meeting day today, Thursday's have just become back to back to back to back meetings straight through. My Fitbit says I need 64 active minutes today and my brain say maybe I need a break so I will probably just go for a long walk after work and do a light pilates class. It's a compromise.

QOTD - oh, that's an interesting question. I think I have tried most of the outdoor activities I want to try again; I haven't ice skated in years so maybe that? I was looking at some pictures of people parasailing and that looks interesting.

Menu today will all be "things I can eat in between meetings" and I'm really craving a burger....but I have to make or freeze the falafel today, lol. I'm leaning toward freezing at this point.

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

Parasailing was a fun adventure. I had just turned 40 and on vacation with no husbands or kids. All girls and we were at Catalina Island. It is really fun.

Good morning ~ Sounds like a busy day, maybe there is room for a nap? I would order the meatballs and a Caesar salad. Enjoy your fun evening out. Yesterday was busy, but I made time for a walk and it was lovely plus more time to listen to my book. I rarely go anywhere for lunch, usually I eat/work at my desk. I plan to go again today. Another busy day that start with meetings, but only this morning. I have so much work to do but it will be there tomorrow, too. This new, less stress Amy is just alright with me. I find it interesting considering I weaned off Prozac a few months ago. You know, my anti anxiety med? I also just restarted HRT and already feel the positives there. Looking forward to NFL tonight! Rob is so excited it's like Christmas for him.

QOTD - Snorkeling in crystal clear water tops the list right now

accountability - added a frozen strawberries with 1/2 protein shake and beef jerky

B- coffee x 2, protein cold brew

l- protein shake

d- pollo asada tacos, again - so much leftover still

s- tomatoes, qukes, cauliflower, dip, SF jello w/whip

797cals/101g protein

15 min yoga done, 15 min walk at lunch

Have a great day!
