CDC says it's OK to get them together but check with your pharmacist because their personal opinion factors in.
I had this problem last time because the pharmacist refused to give me both shots. It was her personal opinion and she admitted, but a friend of hers had both together and I guess had a bad reaction. I was livid, because I had timed it right before (2 weeks prior) my trip for Italy. So she gave me the Covid one and I had to go somewhere else to get the flu one which was easier. At the time I had to go about an hr out of town to find an appt for Covid shot.

I'm assuming that pharmacist lost your business forever.

You assumed right. Although she was so out of my way that I would have never gone back there anyway.

I am curious what ages they will recommend for the RSV one. I was too young for the guidelines one the pneumonia vax but when I had pneumonia for the third time in 2 years they gave it to me. I am planning on getting Covid and the flu at the same time but let me share what I learned when I got my tetanus and flu at the same time put them in the same arm, if they let you. I am a side sleeper and with one in each arm I had a couple of miserable nights, lol

I'm not sure about the age for RSV. I'll have to look. The new covid shot won't be out until late September, but they recommend waiting until then for flu shots anyway.
The rationale for not doing flu and RSV together is because you get lower levels of antibodies for each than if you took them at different times.
I'd rather have both in one arm two. Better one sore arm than two.

Good to hear that you didn't get Covid. Alpine Valley is the worst and should try better at life. All the ****tiness considered, I've seen some great, memorable shows there. That old Roadhouse building was fun. Also, I have seen multiple people roll down that hill after one or 18 too many.

Good Morning! Sounds like a beach day is in order for sure. How exciting and nerve racking to start applying for jobs. The weekend was good. I ended up with about 4 hours in office Saturday and a little bit of time on Sunday for work but I don't consider that too bad at all. And, Em and I planned another concert for the end of October in LA that falls on a Thursday so we decided to to see if we could sneak a Disney visit in on Friday. Some of you might remember Em's BF mom works at Disney so we thought we might be able to get a friend/family rate....well she gifted us with the tickets for free. So we have a concert at the end of this month, one mid Oct and now one at the end of Oct with a Disney day. Yay! I also love that Em likes to do these with me.
QOTD: I have a few but the one that comes first to mind is Cher.
